Angels and Demons
"Mara? Why do we believe in angels and not demons?" A young girl named Annabelle asked as her and her twin sister ran through the streets.
"Demons are evil beings and Angels are good beings that protects us." Her twin said as she stopped at the edge of a 30 foot cliff.
They were breathing hard as beams of lights poured through the brush, hunting for them. Her twin hugged her tight as she jumped off the cliff with her, in hand. They hit the water below as a beam of light is shown to where they once were and down to the water.
"There!! Get them!!" Some male voice yelled as they heard wing beats in the distance.
Mara and Annabelle tried to swim but failed. They started to sink to the bottom when a shadowy figure with large wings, scooped them up in a basket and set them on an island. Mara sat up and saw HER. SHE was a tall slender woman in a white dress, long golden hair, and rainbow wings that had a tint of shine to it. Mara watched HER "destroy" those things that were after them. SHE looked at Mara and her wings disappeared.
"Come with me if you want to live." She spoke kindly as she reached her hand out.
Mara and Annabelle got out of the basket. Annabelle fell to the ground and Mara started crying. SHE grabbed Annabelle and held her close.
"No need to cry little one. We will take care of her." She said as her wings showed up again.
"Wait, are... are you an Angel?" Mara asked as she wiped away her tears.
"Yes, I am. The ones chasing you two were demons. They wanted to catch you and sin. I am the Purest Guardian Angel." She said as she held out her hand to Mara.
Mara grabbed her hand and took flight to the sky. Mara looked down and saw that everything down below got smaller and smaller. Mara smiled as they flew toward a pink cloud. SHE flew straight through the pink cloud and onto a platform. She set Mara down and trotted forward through a majestic entrance. Mara went to follow but was stopped by two guards at the entrance.
"Shell des wire mya. She is with me." She said as she saw them stop Mara from entering.
The guards moved out of the way and Mara ran forward to meet HER. They walked to another door and knocked. Another Angel answered and let them in. Mara looked around and stars shown in her eyes as she smiled.
"What do we have here?" The angel with Black wings asked.
"We have a human twin here named Annabelle. She collapsed when she got out of the basket I scooped them up in." She said as she set Annabelle down onto the table.
"Who's the girl that came with?" He asked.
"That's Mara. She is the twin sister to Annabelle." She said.
"I... No, no, NO!! Dumb devils. They have taken her life but her body and soul is still intact. We can make her an Angel like us. That is the only thing I can do with her." He said as he punched the wall, multiple times.
Mara looked at him stunned as he grabbed some wings and started sewing them on. She then, started falling through the flooring of the room. As her face was almost through, she saw Annabelle flying with her newly sewn wings. Finally, she started falling through the sky.
Then, Mara woke up, breathing hard. She looked around and saw she was in the hospital. She looked down and started crying.
"Sister, why did you leave me so soon? I miss you so much." Mara said as she saw a nurse walk into her room.
"I see your awake now. How are you feeling?" She asked.
"I... I am fine. Where is Annabelle? How is she doing?" Mara asked, observing the nurse.
"I am very sorry. She never made through the surgery since the year 20930." She said.
Mara couldn't believe it. Annabelle didn't make it. 'No wonder she fell and she started flying with wings.' Mara thought to herself.
"You were asleep for 2 weeks and she's been gone that long. I am very sorry." The nurse said as she walked out of Mara's room.
Mara watched her leave and saw Annabelle's ghostly image with purple wings standing in her doorway. She smiled and walked toward Mara. Before she got to the bedside, she disappeared into a thin mist. Mara smiled and said for one last time, "Goodbye and I will see you soon, my dear Annabelle."
