Fear Me
Fear me, for I have cried,
a thousand tears beaneth your feet.
The same tears you will mop
tomorow.
Fear me, for I have screamed,
a thousand years into the night.
The same screams you will hear
in sorrow.
Teach me to stop dragging my skin
roughly across the past, so it may tear
like paper, because it is so thin.
Teach me a door may be opened without
a key, whether it be locked or not.
Ask me how I got this far in a single step,
taken again
and again
and again.
