Graveyard

So much time has passed

I’m not longer shiny, sparkly and new

Grown up, some may even call old

Finally wise enough to hold my own

Many dreams have been realised and even more have been snuffed

Leaving behind traces in empty whisky cups

So many people have left

Moments have left me bereft

Old enough to buy my own expensive perfume

I smell like I bathe in flowers and the blue sea

But really, there’s just a graveyard inside of me
