Paper cuts sting

To remind us that we’re alive

Scrapes heal

But leave a faint memory of the story

So we remember to tell it

But when a soul shatters

It’s a miracle if we’re alive

There’s a chance we’ll never heal

Because all we can do is hide our story

And pray to forget it
