Dead to me
A cacophony of shadows, and all I feel is fear.
The faint outlines cast without light,
Murmuring and mumbling into my deaf ears.
Reaching out through the gloom and obscurity,
The people I love.
But they are too late,
As I drown in my selfish misery.
The mouth, once mine, screams;
Ricocheting around in the prison cell
Of my mind.
