@QuietSilence
Well thanks for asking @QuietSilence, because I would say there is some psychobabble behind each and every choice that we make, not unlike as they say with jokes, within each, shreds of truth. For me, using the name BonnieBoo propels me full circle, because Bonnie was my nickname growing up, only used by my immediate family and I loathed the name, tried to conceal it from my classmates, but what I wasn't aware of at the time, was that I hated the name because I loathed myself, more appropriately my circumstance at home and I associated the name with my trials and tribulations. In reflection and with understanding, literally and figuratively since the name Bonnie means beautiful in Scottish, I now embrace the name Bonnie and wear it proudly, as a part of my history. As far as the Boo in BonnieBoo, I'm all over the map with that. "My boo" has meaning now that I love myself, and my dog's name is Booker, which starts with Boo, naming him Booker because I love books and on the day I picked him up I had read an article about Booker T. Washington. Additionally when I was a little girl, I did not like cartoons very much, but I loved the look of the character Betty Boop, whose last name also contains the letters Boo. So truthfully I love being BonnieBoo on prose. It suits me. I wear it like a badge of honor, happy to share it with my dear friends on @Prose. Again, thanks for asking. FYI, I adore the name QuietSilence!
