i don’t know...
I don't really have a story behind my username. It just came to me when I was making my account so I used it. Now, I feel as if it has more meaning to me now than it did then. Now, I look at it and I think of my dreams and hopes to publish a book eventually and just be happy. I've thought of changing my name several times but never came up with anything better. I guess, when all is said and done, I always go back to Famewriter because I can't dream a new dream.
@QuietSilence
Well thanks for asking @QuietSilence, because I would say there is some psychobabble behind each and every choice that we make, not unlike as they say with jokes, within each, shreds of truth. For me, using the name BonnieBoo propels me full circle, because Bonnie was my nickname growing up, only used by my immediate family and I loathed the name, tried to conceal it from my classmates, but what I wasn't aware of at the time, was that I hated the name because I loathed myself, more appropriately my circumstance at home and I associated the name with my trials and tribulations. In reflection and with understanding, literally and figuratively since the name Bonnie means beautiful in Scottish, I now embrace the name Bonnie and wear it proudly, as a part of my history. As far as the Boo in BonnieBoo, I'm all over the map with that. "My boo" has meaning now that I love myself, and my dog's name is Booker, which starts with Boo, naming him Booker because I love books and on the day I picked him up I had read an article about Booker T. Washington. Additionally when I was a little girl, I did not like cartoons very much, but I loved the look of the character Betty Boop, whose last name also contains the letters Boo. So truthfully I love being BonnieBoo on prose. It suits me. I wear it like a badge of honor, happy to share it with my dear friends on @Prose. Again, thanks for asking. FYI, I adore the name QuietSilence!
The_Book_Girl_K
This is my username on Wattpad, the first 'social media'-type app I ever signed up to. I chose the name years ago: since I love to read and write, I am female, and my first name starts with a 'K'. Recently activating a Prose account, I made this my username in hopes of channeling that youthful, unabashed activity that filled my first year of fervent Wattpad use, where I wrote, liked, and commented on whatever I liked without a hesitation--something I lost in other social media apps like Instagram. Here's hoping this platform ignites that creative fuel :)
Nickname
My Prose name comes from one of my favorite nicknames. I’m in a long distance relationship and my boyfriend. Well according to him I have a rather sweet and soft personality and so my first nickname ever from him was TeddyBear. It makes me feel special because my whole life I’ve been bullied and I grew up in a house where crying wasn’t very acceptable. So in a way, it was him allowing me to be “soft” with him. He and I hadn’t yet cuddled and yet to him, I’m his teddybear. It sounds unmasculine when he says things like “I need my teddy bear” but it also sounds ssssssssssooooooooooo sweet to me. When he calls me teddy bear it reminds me that I’m allowed to be soft and it also shows a bit of his “sensitivity” I use the nickname for almost everything. I love it and so I used it as my Prose name. It has no meaning to it as far as I know of, he’ll have to comment and tell us if it does.
The whole “origin” of my Prose name is just my boyfriend picked his first nickname for me, it’s special to me, and so I use it for Prose and a few other sites.
My shield
My name is my shield.
It protects me from judgement, shame, and vulnerability.
A sort of alter ego, where I can be something that nobody in my life ever thought I would be.
I can write, read, feel, release.
When my heart is wise, I will take my armor off and throw away my beautiful shield, and show the world. I'm me.
Cold Ramen
No one likes cold ramen why on earth would you pick that? Why not hot ramen or at least lukewarm ramen?
Well, I got my username from a few years ago when playing Super Smash Bros online with other players. Everyone had interesting or funny names and I couldn't think of something to put instead of my real name. So like the uncreative person I am, I used the random generator until I found this name and got attached to it.
