all We see is sky
for forever
the vast veil of blue
clouds so vanilla white
the grass scratches my shoulders
and the back of my legs
an ant crawls along the arch of my foot
over sandal tan-lines
across chipped purple nail plish
the light from the sun
caressing
embracing
kissing my cheeks
my nose
the hollows of my neck
a trail of tiny freckles
in its wake
closed eyes
a slight smile
We could be alright
for forever
this
