You Take my Breath Away
You take my breath away.
But not in that way.
I am but suffocated by the thought of you.
I lie kicking and screaming and yet no one runs to me.
You take my breath away,
Not in that way, you see.
I scream in my mind, I ache at the thought of falling before you.
You have but tormented me,
Held me captive.
Now I find it tough to breath,
For you have taken my breath away from me.
Making my life but a burden
-Since to breath is to live, I fear this emballed state.
And I have not the power to escape the grip of your power over me.
Life and breath removed; for,
You’ve taken my breath away from me
No, not in that way, you see.
You’ve taken away every vestige of me
And the power of me is gone indefinitely.
The might that I had is hidden in fear.
And the me deep within is calling for code blue
Because I knew instantly that you’d take my breath away
Tho I never thought it would be in this way.
