simpler times.
i wish that i could go back to the days
when i was younger and carefree,
when i didn’t worry about judgement or grades
or what i wanted to grow up to be.
when i feared drowning, not drowning in fear
and played in gardens without dreading its destruction;
when i created wonderland for mere fun,
not an escape from the reality of violence and corruption.
when my worldview was veiled with innocence,
not having to desperately read between the lines,
when everything seemed perfectly in place;
oh, to relive such simpler times.
