Intermittently
There’s a boy sitting on the rings of Saturn
Just watching the world,
Intermittently
He marvels at his moons with such pride in his being
As they come and go and come again
Always, he calls out to Titan
Though his gestures, not reciprocated
And he’s torn, trying to decide which is more beautiful;
The moons he counts on to give him his minutes
Or the tiny dot in the distance
The one with godly colors
And just one lonely moon
There must be no boy on Earth
As there are no rings to hold him
So he decides he likes his moons
He chooses Titan
For he knows he’ll never let him down
Swinging round, passing,
Intermittently
