Little Warm Up...
"Trust me, I wouldn't be here helping you if I didn't have to" the boy scowled.
Ashlynn winced as the boy applied rubbing alchohol to the wound.
"Ouch! That stings! Can't you be a little more gentle?" She murmured.
The boy only sighed in annoyance. Ashlynn readjusted her body, cutting the wound on her leg from eyesight.
"So, what's your name? How did you find out I was here? Also, why exactly do you have all this medic stuff in your bag?" She asked.
"Jaxon." the boy answered.
"And how exactly did you find me, Jaxon?"
The boy paused, he began to wrap a long bandage over Ashlynn's wound.
"I guess you really don't remember..." Jaxon whispered, his face showing the slightest of pain.
Ashlynn tilted her head in confusion
"What? I can't hear you?"
Jaxon stood up, a small grey owl landed on his shoulder. He shook his head and walked out of the classroom.
"You made a lot of noise, you ought to find your way out of here before someone finds you." He said, pulling out his wand.
Ashlynn got up slowly, barely using her wounded leg. She whistled, and a great horned owl flew to her side, landing on her shoulder. The owl cooed.
"Sorry Saph, the only trace I found of dad was this dumb crystal shard." Ashlynn sighed holding out a dark lavender crystal. It shimmered in the dark classroom. Ashlynn shoved the small crystal into her skirt pocket. She picked up her bag, and limped out of the classroom.
As Ashlynn walked quietly, she fingered a small necklace, deep in thought.
How did Jaxon find her? How did he know her name, and what does she not remember?
But as Ashlynn thought about these things, a deep thought grew in the back of her mind.
Why did Dylan lie to her about her parents? What does he know?
