I Think About This Often, so I Wrote it Out.
Hannah kneeled down in pain, she clenched her stomach. Hayden laughed maniacally.
"Ladies and gentlemen, is this who you want as your new ruler? A weak little girl, who can't even defend herself against little old me!" Hayden's voice boomed as the audience watched in fear.
Elisa crawled to Hannah, "Hannah! Are you okay? Please be okay!"
Hannah groaned in pain, her stomach bleeding out. She looked around the balcony to find Daniel, urging her to get up.
Hannah groaned as she got up, she pulled something out of her pocket.
"Hayden!" she yelled.
The audience gasped. Hayden turned around and laughed.
"Hey there princess. Trying again are we? I'm afraid you won't get too far with that wound." He cackled.
As Hayden grew closer to Hannah, she lifted her arm, revealing a bright red card. Hayden gasped, his eyes grew wide.
"NO! T-the UNO Reverse Card...I-I thought it was a myth..." he stuttered.
Suddenly, Hayden winced, deep red started to stain his white shirt. He dropped to one knew, clenching his stomach.
"Gahh! You little-"
"Enough Hayden, you're finished." Hannah said.
Her wound began to heal, as Hayden's grew worse. Hannah became stronger as Hayden crippled to the ground in pain. The audience cheered as Hannah raised her arms in victory.
The war was finally over. She would become the next ruler, and Hayden and his clan would be gone forever.
-The End-
Her.
I don't really want to, but it's for her sake
She needs all the attention here, because she gets none at home
So for now I'll stay quiet, even though the things in my mind are loud
I'll wait patiently, even though time is running out
I'll do stupid things to make her laugh
I'll stop saying so much, so she can say it all
I'll smile and laugh at her jokes, even though I want to cry
They don't need to know what I know, because I need to become a side character
for her.
Old Friends New Enemies
I watched across the gate as you read the letter, your eyes scuried up and down the crinckled pages. Your friend was right behind you, reading too. She looked furious...
But she wasn't supposed to be there..she wasn't supposed to know what you'd soon learn.
You shoved the papers in your bag and went back to where I used to be hiding. But I was't there, my only friend left was.
She shouldn't have been yelled at by your friend. She had nothing to do with this.
When you did find me, you wouldn't let me go. I reached hard for my freedom. And so I fell in the mud, and as kids lauged at me, I held back hot tears. I got up and ran.
Because that's all I ever did...
Was it because I was scared? Or was it because I never wante to be here in the first place...
It was my fault I let her go. It was my fault I let all of them go...
These days I still wonder, if I stayed where I was before..what would've happened instead? Would things be different? Or would it all be the same?
Will I ever see you again? Will you hate me? Or will you cry that you missed me.
But if you do start to cry, please don't, because you'll make me fall deeper into that rabbit hole I climbed out of 3 years ago...
Surrounded by your lies.
Little Children (testing my deceased poetry skills)
Oh, little children
What little mysteries you are
You hide your tears with fake smiles
So no one will know, what insecuities lay inside your deep, dark soul
Nobody realizes the troubles you must face
Nobody will notice the cracks you mend with your deeply scarred hands
Dearest little children
Why are you so scared?
Why must you have so many secrets?
Going day by day, your bodies marred
You children are so strong
Please, keep singing your little song
Oh, little child
You are so beautiful
So wild, and free
Your little hearts, so plentiful
You don't know how much you all mean to me
Little Warm Up...
"Trust me, I wouldn't be here helping you if I didn't have to" the boy scowled.
Ashlynn winced as the boy applied rubbing alchohol to the wound.
"Ouch! That stings! Can't you be a little more gentle?" She murmured.
The boy only sighed in annoyance. Ashlynn readjusted her body, cutting the wound on her leg from eyesight.
"So, what's your name? How did you find out I was here? Also, why exactly do you have all this medic stuff in your bag?" She asked.
"Jaxon." the boy answered.
"And how exactly did you find me, Jaxon?"
The boy paused, he began to wrap a long bandage over Ashlynn's wound.
"I guess you really don't remember..." Jaxon whispered, his face showing the slightest of pain.
Ashlynn tilted her head in confusion
"What? I can't hear you?"
Jaxon stood up, a small grey owl landed on his shoulder. He shook his head and walked out of the classroom.
"You made a lot of noise, you ought to find your way out of here before someone finds you." He said, pulling out his wand.
Ashlynn got up slowly, barely using her wounded leg. She whistled, and a great horned owl flew to her side, landing on her shoulder. The owl cooed.
"Sorry Saph, the only trace I found of dad was this dumb crystal shard." Ashlynn sighed holding out a dark lavender crystal. It shimmered in the dark classroom. Ashlynn shoved the small crystal into her skirt pocket. She picked up her bag, and limped out of the classroom.
As Ashlynn walked quietly, she fingered a small necklace, deep in thought.
How did Jaxon find her? How did he know her name, and what does she not remember?
But as Ashlynn thought about these things, a deep thought grew in the back of her mind.
Why did Dylan lie to her about her parents? What does he know?
