On the subject of immortality
Thinking back on how we came to be, one must consider the fall. Not the disobedience of Eve, but of Gods visit to earth. He found the smile of the father of a newborn, such a profound moment of joy that he would come down from heaven and visit us all. To leave his throne for a life of humanity and be apart from his Son, the Father dwelt among mankind. Perhaps to gain more glory for his soul, he would seek to know creation in the magnificence of their beauty. For a life spent desiring eternal happiness, he would need to achieve something truly unforgettable. How can anyone compete with winning the salvation of our souls and achieving for us immortality? Surely Abraham Lincoln's freeing of the slaves is a comparable feat. But God has something greater in store for us all. Becoming the Justifier of all things whether rewarding the good or punishing the evil, he fulfills his own Word and achieves redemption for himself.
Restoring children to their parents and bringing healing to the nations in a day's work separated him from the rest. By seeking his presence we can attain happiness and truly experience what it's like to know our Creator.
