Chapter 7: The Talk
Chandler's face paled, then hardened.
"What do you mean they plan on having me killed by the end of three months?! I thought you took care of them!" Chandler raised his voice at Simon, banging his fist angrily on the table. Simon looked startled. Brian of course had no expression on his face.
"Well, uh you see, um we-" he stammered, looking at Brian for help. Chandler scoffed and shook his head. He stood up and leaned across the table, finger in Simons face.
"You better take care of them like I asked, or I will have someone take care of you. Got it?" he whispered angrily to Simon, staring him down.
Simon nodded vigorously.
"Yes sir, I- I understand." He whispered back, fear painted clearly on his face.
Chandler stood back up, and started walking away from the table.
"Terri come, we're leaving." Chandler barked at me, not even looking back to see if I was coming. I stood up and looked at Simon and Brian.
"Um, nice to meet you guys. Uhh, yea." I mumbled, grabbing my clutch and left, following after Chandler.
Once I was outside, I saw Chandler leaning against his car, breathing heavily and clenching his fists in anger. I walked up to him and placed my hand on his bicep, looking up at his perfect, angry face.
"Chandler," I started. He looked down at me, with hard eyes and yanked his bicep from under my grip.
"Don't touch me, I'm not in the mood. Go home." he growled, making his way to the drivers side.
I wasn't giving up yet. He shouldn't go home angry, I hate when people are angry.
"Chandler, talk to me. I don't want you to go to bed angr-"
"I said go home! I don't want to hear your annoying voice all night. Now leave. Me. Alone!" he shouted, getting into his car and drove off.
I was taken aback. He never showed this side before, and I didn't really like it. I thought he was just an innocent man, naive to everything. I guess not, I thought as I got in my car and drove off.
As I was driving, I decided to stop at Chandler's house to check up on him. I entered his long driveway and got out of my car. I walked up to his door and took a deep breath before knocking.
The door opened abruptly and there stood Chandler, already dressed down in his routine basketball shorts and no shirt. Good god. He looked down at me and groaned.
"Didn't I tell you to go home? What the fuck do you want now?" he asked me, rolling his eyes. I pushed past him and made my way up to his room, not caring if that was rude or not.
"Yes you did, but I decided to come here and check up on you because clearly, you need someone to talk to." I told him as I threw my purse on his bed. I unbuckled my shoes, using his bed to keep my balance, and threw them in a corner.
I went into his large closet and searched for a t-shirt to wear. I found a grey one, and started to strip.
"Terri what are you doing! Get out of my closet before I-" He abruptly stopped talking and his eyes widened when he saw me in just my bra and panties. His eyes raked my body slowly, starting from my feet and stopping at my breasts. Typical guy.
"Are you done staring Mr. Austin?" I asked him, smirking as he blinked a couple of times to focus.
I pulled the large t-shirt over my body and it stopped just above my knees.
"Okay, come on. Let's talk about whatever you have to talk to me about." I said, pulling him out of the closet and leading him to the bed. I hopped on the bed, swiping everything that was on it to the floor. I sprawled out across the bed and looked up at Chandler, waiting for him to follow my lead.
He looked at me suspiciously as he made his way onto the bed. It dipped slightly when he got on the bed and laid on his back, facing the ceiling. He sighed and put his hands behind his head, biceps flexing at the action.
I scooted closer to him, leaning on my side, with my head in my hand, propped up by my elbow.
"Alright, now that we are comfortable, spill." I told him. He turned his head and looked at me. I could see that he was debating whether to tell me or not. He closed his eyes and sighed again, then started talking.
"Simon and Brian work for me. Their job is to make sure no one tries to kill me or any one that I consider family. They are basically highly trained body guards."
"Why do you need body guards?" I asked, interrupting him. He looked at me and gritted his teeth.
"Don't interrupt me and maybe you'll find out." I shut and let him continue.
"As I was saying, they are highly trained body guards that my dad had assigned to me for my safety. I need body guards because a crew tried to have me killed because of something my dad did. I still don't know what he did up to this day, but all I know is that it was serious enough for them to want me dead."
He paused to take in a deep breath and then continued.
"I was about 14 years old when I became friends with a guy. He had just moved in next door to me with his dad and my family welcomed them to the neighborhood. Me and him hit it off right away and became the best of friends. For a year, we did everything together and were inseparable. One day, he invited me over to his house and of course I said yes. I was 15 years old by that time. Little did I know that he was luring me into a trap. I went to his house and as soon as I stepped in, two men grabbed me from behind. I started kicking and scratching and knocked them both out with this technique my dad showed me, if I was ever in trouble. I looked at my friend and noticed he didn't even try to help me, as if he knew what was going to happen. I didn't stay to figure out the truth I just ran home."
He stopped to take a breath and looked at me, green eyes filled with hurt. I scooted closer to him and rested my hand on his chest. I looked up at him and nodded, coaxing him to continue.
"When I got home, I yelled for my mom, wanting to tell her what had happened. When she didn't respond, I ran upstairs to her room and saw two guys stabbing her, blood flying everywhere. I screamed at them and when they saw me, they jumped out of the window. I ran to the spot they left and-"
Chandler choked up and covered his eyes, shuddering at the memory.
"....I found my mom lying there, covered in blood. I couldn't believe my eyes. I dropped to my knees and tried to wake her, but I was too late. She was already...dead." he whispered the last part, a sob stopping him from continuing.
I could not believe my ears. Who would be so cruel and evil enough to take a little boys mother from him.
I placed my hand on his wet cheek, wiping his tears away and looked into his bloodshot, tear filled eyes. He put his hand on top of mine and closed his eyes, leaning into my hand.
"I'm so sorry Chandler. No one should witness their loved ones being taken away from them. I'm so sorry." I whispered, laying my head on his chest and rubbed small circles on it. He wrapped his arm around me and rubbed my back in an up and down motion, slowly.
"I called my dad and he came home shouting and screaming. I told him everything that had happened and he raced over to the neighbors, only to find that they had packed up everything and vanished. The police searched for years, trying to find the people responsible for my mother's death, but never found them. That's why my dad assigned me those two bodyguards, for my safety. My best friend, his name was Jason. I learned that he is in some type of crew called The Troublemakers and his dad is the leader. I had my bodyguards gather up a team and kill whoever they could that was in that crew. Now today I find out that they are still up and running and now have a plan to have me killed in three months time.
But don't worry, I'm not going to let anything happen to anyone that is close to me. I have a plan of my own. They won't see it coming. I just need to find out where they are hiding so I can finish them off."
I jolted up, Chandlers hand falling from my back and I looked down at him with wide eyes. Jason had his mom killed? No, it can't be true. No. They would've told me....I thought they trusted me. Now they want to finish him off for good? That's my mission? I shook my head and blinked back tears. I was just a pawn all along. Training me to become the best. Training me to be perfect for this mission. I was hurt.
Chandler sat up and looked at me with worry.
"Terri, are you okay?" he asked me, and cupped my cheek, caressing it with his thumb. I looked at him and blinked a few times, not wanting to cry in front of him. I smiled and laughed nervously.
"Yea I'm fine. The story was just getting to me. I don't know why anyone would be so cruel." I said.
He stared at me and I stared back, glancing at his full pink lips and back into his eyes. I really wish I didn't have to kill him, he's so beautiful, I thought as I looked back at his lips. I didn't realize that we were gravitating towards each other until our lips met.
He looked surprised, but I didn't give him time to have any second thoughts as I grabbed his hair and pulled him closer to me, our lips moving in sync.
He groaned as I lightly pulled his hair, and he attacked my lips, causing us to fall backwards on the bed with him on top of me. He left my lips and trailed kisses down my neck, nipping and sucking hard, causing me to gasp and buck my hips into his, creating friction.
He moved back to my lips and I wrapped my legs around his strong waist, grinding into him wanting more friction. He moaned, grinding even harder into me, making tingles shoot straight to my core.
We parted, breathing heavily as we both tried to catch our breaths. He closed his eyes and shook his head while he caught his breath.
"Shit," he cursed looking into my eyes and back down to my lips. I leaned forward to kiss him again, but he turned his head, making me kiss his neck. I kissed his neck and moved my way up to his chiseled jaw, feeling his stubble on my lips.
"Fuck, Terri, sto- shit. Girlfriend." he choked out, but made no move to stop me. I wrapped my arms around his muscular shoulders and thrusted my hips upward, twisting and hitting us so that I was on top of him. He let out a breathless chuckle as I did that and smiled up at me.
He cupped my cheek, and I made a move to kiss him again, but he stopped me, looking at me with a serious expression.
"Terri," he started. I rolled off of him and rolled my eyes.
"I know, I know. You have a girlfriend, blah blah. Whatever." I mumbled turning away from him, suddenly feeling tired. He chuckled and turned me around to face him.
"You know I love my girlfriend, Terri. You're the one who keeps making moves at me." he said, raising his eyebrows as if to prove a point. I shifted and moved closer to his face.
"True, but overtime, you always respond so nicely to me proving that what you're telling me is different from what you are feeling. When's the last time you and Stacy had sex?" I asked his, raising my eyebrows as he stammered.
"Um, well-, look I don't have to tell you anythi-." I laughing and kissed him, shutting him up. He responded just the way I knew he would, his soft lips moving against mine in a hungry manner.
He broke the kiss and cupped my cheek, looking into my eyes.
"Fuck. What are you doing to me?" he whispered, mainly to himself. I shrugged and pecked his lips one last time and slid off of his bed.
"Don't worry, I won't be teasing you anymore I was just having fun with you. I will stay out of you and Stacy's relationship for now." I told him, smiling. He sat up and moved to the edge of his bed.
"Alright. Like I said before, we need to have a professional relationship, nothing else. But I think we can be friends. I mean I already told you my secret that I didn't even told my own girlfriend." He looked at me and I sighed.
"I guess that will work. See you tomorrow boss." I winked and went to the guest room he set up for me. I was very tired and snuggled into the comfortable bed. Even though I was extremely tired, I couldn't fall asleep because of what Chandler told me.
I need some answers from Jason pronto. If what they tell me proves that I was just a pawn the entire time, I will have an entirely new mission.
My mission won't be to kill the mayors son, no.
My mission will be to kill Jason Sr. and Jason Jr.
