Sonnet 2
Upon the azure paths of skies I trod,
Where sun and moon their sacred hymns recite,
Where stars, like fireflies, light the face of God,
And milky streams their glowing trails ignite.
For reasons veiled, I wandered far and wide,
By winds of passion's storm, I sought for peace,
In forests deep, and mountains' treacherous side,
Yet still, my heart's unease doth never cease.
But lo, in thee I find my solace dear,
Thy radiant eyes, a compass to my soul,
Thy smiles, the balm that heals my wounds and fear,
Thy love, the beacon guiding me to whole.
Thus, in thy gentle arms, my refuge lies,
My heart's abode, beneath the boundless skies.
