Sonnet 10
Upon the morn, when breaks the sun's first light,
The verdant fields with dew, the air is sweet,
With solemn grace and beauty, day doth fight
To conquer night, and endless dark defeat.
So too, my love, when in thy presence fair,
The shadows of my mind and heart do flee,
And all that's bleak, consumed by thy stare,
Is turned to joy, and sweet serenity.
But in thy absence, like the moon's cold reign,
Despair doth creep, a serpent in the grass,
Its venom potent, coursing through each vein,
And all the world, a tempest wild and crass.
Yet, in thy radiant warmth, I find my rest,
In thee, my sun, I rise and am made blest.
Sonnet 9
Upon the windswept shores of yonder coast,
A lonely figure wanders 'neath the sky,
To seek the love that he doth yearn the most,
Yet finds it not, though ever doth he try.
A heart so tethered to the blackest night,
Still beats with hope, a dream of sun's embrace,
And though the shadows oft do blind his sight,
He braves the storm and darkness with a grace.
What boundless sea that separates them so,
The lover and his sun, forever torn,
Yet in his heart, a secret truth doth grow,
Their love eternal, never to be worn.
For even in the dark, a light doth shine,
The sun and moon, together, intertwine.
Sonnet 8
Upon a crest where golden sun doth rest,
A lark ascends as if to touch the sky,
And there upon its breast, a sweet bequest,
A melody so sweet, it doth belie.
In nature's bloom and splendor doth unfold,
The petals soft, that blush like crimson morn,
The velvet hues of violet and gold,
In harmony entwined, a beauty born.
Yet in this world of wonder and delight,
Lies shadows dark, where envy takes its hold,
For love, like rose, is oft eclipsed by night,
And passions burn, as fervent as they're cold.
But like the sun that conquers ebon shade,
Love's light shall triumph o'er the dark parade.
Sonnet 7
Upon the morn a golden sun doth rise,
And crimson clouds doth paint the eastern sky;
Yet darkness lingers in fair beauty's eyes,
Where tender dreams are sung, but never pry.
The gentle breeze doth kiss the blossoming rose,
As whispers speak of love's eternal vow;
In secret shade, the heart's desire doth grow,
Yet shadows hide the truth, we know not how.
A nightingale doth sing in twilight's hue,
Her mournful song of love's sweet agony,
As stars above reflect the tears we rue,
In mirrored pools of deep tranquility.
Yet in the dawn, when light doth conquer night,
Love's truth shall shine, a beacon burning bright.
Sonnet 6
Upon fair shores, where milky waters meet,
A wanton creature, to thine eyes concealed,
Beside the cypress grove, in shadows fleet,
As enigmatic as the moon, revealed.
A voice that echoes in the songs of night,
So sweet, and soft, as honeyed morning dew,
Whose verses sing of love, and lost delight,
Yet, in their hearts, hold not a word of rue.
When twilight dances on the edge of day,
And fiery sunbeams kiss the earth once more,
From waters deep, this creature swims away,
And leaves behind a voice that all adore.
In dreams and shadows, let mine eyes not falter,
To seek th' elusive muse, the sea's sweet daughter.
Sonnet 5
Upon a gentle hill, where willows weep,
And silver brooks do graceful dances play,
Doth Nature's canvas bear a scene most deep,
Wherein a thousand tales of love convey.
The azure hue that paints the boundless sky,
Doth cast a veil upon the verdant earth,
And in the twilight glow, where shadows lie,
The tender seeds of melancholy birth.
Yet, lo, amidst this scene of sweet despair,
A radiant bloom doth pierce the veil of night,
And with a gaze, so bold and yet so fair,
Bestows a kiss upon the fading light.
So let us too, in Nature's grand embrace,
Find solace in the beauty of her face.
Sonnet 4
Upon the meadow's verdant bliss I stand,
With eager eyes transfixed on yonder sight,
The sun's farewell, a canvas rich and grand,
As day submits to silent arms of night.
The mockingbird doth sing his mournful tune,
In twilight's reign, his heart's lament unfurls,
And luna's glow, midst darkling sky's festoon,
Doth cast a shimmer o'er the black it hurls.
Yet, in this somber hour, I find thee here,
A beacon, shining bright amidst the gloom,
Thy visage fair, a solace I revere,
As on thy tender words my thoughts consume.
So let us share this sweet embrace of eve,
In love's eternal dance forever weave.
Sonnet 3
Upon the shore of melancholy seas,
Where waves of sorrow beat upon the sand,
There is a place of darkness where one flees,
And finds a realm where sorrows understand.
Within that land, a castle made of tears,
Whose turrets pierced the heavens, cold and gray,
Assembled from the burdens, woes, and fears,
That broke the hearts of those who walked astray.
Within the castle's chambers, void of light,
A thousand whispered voices wailed and wept,
Their cries a symphony of endless night,
A song of souls in misery's grasp, accept.
Yet fear not, for in darkness hope can shine,
Embrace the night, and let thy spirit climb.
Sonnet 2
Upon the azure paths of skies I trod,
Where sun and moon their sacred hymns recite,
Where stars, like fireflies, light the face of God,
And milky streams their glowing trails ignite.
For reasons veiled, I wandered far and wide,
By winds of passion's storm, I sought for peace,
In forests deep, and mountains' treacherous side,
Yet still, my heart's unease doth never cease.
But lo, in thee I find my solace dear,
Thy radiant eyes, a compass to my soul,
Thy smiles, the balm that heals my wounds and fear,
Thy love, the beacon guiding me to whole.
Thus, in thy gentle arms, my refuge lies,
My heart's abode, beneath the boundless skies.
Sonnet 1
Upon the crest of dawn's embrace, I yearn,
For moments past, in twilight's sweet respite,
And in the sun's descent, my thoughts return,
To love's lament, that doth the day ignite.
Where shadows dance, and sweet refrains arise,
My heart, entwined, doth find its solace true,
In silent echoes of thy tender sighs,
Enraptured, lost, in dreams of love's debut.
Yet, Fate, that cruel mistress, doth conspire,
To sever our entangled hearts asunder,
With bitter winds, her tempestuous ire,
Threatens to tear our love apart, and plunder.
But in the end, our love shall rise above,
And conquer all, for naught can quell true love.
