One Syllable to rule them all..
Write a poem using only One syllable words. You may break this rule and add a word with more but only once.
The Sea Calls, The Sea Cools
The grains burn my soles as I walk
I hear a voice call me, I hear a voice talk
Heat seers through me, but I have lost all care
As I walk in this land with no air
I stop, my skin lit by the flames of guilt
And think of all the grief I have built
I look out to see the gallop of blue
And I know what I must do
Hooves crash and thrash and spit white foam
But I move in close to this place I shall soon call home
They grasp my feet in a tight wet hold
I let them pull me down and sink in their cold
They kiss my cheeks and fill my throat, but I do not cry
I just let my limbs fall free and close my eyes
