Plot
Thanks for making the challenge, Verity.
As @ValiantRaptor47 mentioned, I believe it is vital to have a basic plot. Thanks to this we'll have the opportunity to have our creative juices flowing but also of weaving our story together. What this means is that there needs to be a base of time period, scenery, basic storyline, main characters are set, etc.
I currently don't have ideas for a plot but I'm definitely open to looking at everyone's ideas and then letting my ideas go wild based on the topic. Looking forward to the next official post and thanks again @Chacko_Stephen for making the hashtag!

Four Seasons
Summer
Sitting there, looking beautiful - she’s still
The sun warms her roots and strengthens her color
The air is thick - reapply the makeup, look pretty, sit and tan
obey
Fall
Slowly, she degrades - her outer layer is gone
Left is only the shrumpled up inside of her - torn and ruined by the fakeness she was forced to be
The inside was always what mattered, she knew that
Her freedom had been riped from her, leaving only one choice to follow
Winter
Stomped, crumpled, pressed, choked
She withers down to nothing
A blanket drowns her cries
Once she stops fighting, she realizes the blanket is no danger, but a friend who warms, someone to cherish
Someone who will not bind her with chains
Spring
As the blanket leaves, she’s gone
A delicate girl, swept with the wind
Is that so?
Then what is that rosebud growing from the soil?
A soul renergizing in her peak, coming back for the better
No, she’s not fragile like a flower, but fragile like a bomb
And as she rises to be who is truly within
One can see if you look closer - a phoenix rising from her ashes

Let’s Write A Book
Count me in!
I think best thing is we come up with a plot then go on from there, chapter by chapter with each person adding their tweaks to the story. Might also be good to set out a base for characters, scene, time period, etc. :D
This sounds like a great opportunity and I can't wait to get started.
Light in This Pandemic
If anyone would have told us how COVID-19 would affect our reality, most would probably have laughed and waved it off as a joke. When whispers about a virus were making their way around, no one could have guessed how grave the impact on the world would be. At the time, our whole class was making plans for our soon to come France Trip – the favorite of all our school’s alumni. How could we have expected millions to die, millions to suffer, millions to be isolated? There was no way to predict the impact this pandemic would make, but we’ve found light in darkness.
Looking at the bright side of things, this pandemic has given us the opportunity to ameliorate our understanding for our teachers, peers, colleagues, and even families. People act differently everywhere: online, in-person, at home, or in front of their superiors; each show someone’s separate sides. During online learning, I saw teachers cooing to their infants, students running after pets and parents shouting at my friends to do their chores – forming a deeper understanding with these people. It makes me think of how much we have missed: our friends’ private lives, our teachers’ struggles, our family’s tensions; opening my eyes to a whole new view we should all embrace. Many things go on in the lives and minds of others that we do not realize – this epidemic has given us the chance to enhance our understanding for those around us, cultivating empathy.
Our situation has come with its challenges, but it has also given us many possibilities, such as becoming more involved with our communities, meeting new people, and daring us to try new things. We have discovered alternate perspectives of those around us, strengthening our understanding for each other as well. We have grasped the opportunities presenting themselves to us until we find a way to get back to normal. Yusra Mardini, Olympic Swimmer on the Refugee Team once said: “I am strong enough to make others believe in their dreams again,” – like we must be too: strong for ourselves and strong for those around us.
We've made it this far, we're not giving up now

I wait patiently for your answer
after 2 days I think you might be busy
nothing
after 2 weeks I realize you might’ve forgotten me
nothing
after 2 months I realize you don’t care
nothing
I sit still wondering
when will you respond?
what did I do wrong?
then
ping
It seems you need someone to help you
and you keep asking
until I relent
not anymore
I’ve got to admit
I have no clue what went wrong
what did I do?
I am not perfect
I have flaws
I am my perfect self
I’m that huge bookworm
I’m that girl who loves to solve the extra math problems
I’m that person who is only organized when it comes to online files
I’m that person who loves to play cheesy disney songs on the piano
I’m that person who adores to watch movies based on books
and if that’s not enough for you
then you don’t deserve me as I am
so I hear it again
ping
and I press ignore
deciding to go and read on my couch, cuddling with my next favorite read, and a warm cup of Caramel Apple Cider.
Tomorrow,
I’m going to go and treat myself to a big Molly Moon’s sundae
and I’ll find someone
who
actually
cares
Where Did I Go?
Alone, I sit
Wondering
How come everything went down,
Snap
6 months before,
My reality changed
Forgotten,
I feel lost
My health,
Where has it gone?
Am a selfish?
No, this is honesty
With all the struggles,
I feel sympathy
Lost jobs, financial crisis,
Isolation.
Unusual though?
Maybe just increased
Though I sympathize,
I too need care.
My feelings are my own.
unique.
Shout out to all writers and friends
During these hard times, it’s important to stay positive. I decided I was going to try and make a collection of feelings during this pandemic. For this I need everyone out there possible!
I’m trying to write a small book / excerpt on how everyone is feeling with the pandemic / dealing with it. Please dm me anything you feel free sharing and try to be as honest as possible. This isn’t an easy time, but by sticking together we’ll make the best of it.
Stay safe everyone, and please share this to spread the word. I’d really like for everyone’s voice to be heard.
Ty in advance!
This is me.
Hey guys,
so I'm fairly new to prose and thanks to @raingauze I thought I'd also introduce myself.
I've always loved to write so when I found prose it was like a dream come true.
I love to play the piano, am a huge bookworm, and completely disorganized.
My favorite things to write / read are historical fiction based, action, adventuristic, and things to relate to. I usually prefer fiction.
From what I've seen of prose, I love that this seems like such a wonderful group of writers from all over, supporting each other, that have formed a community. Hope y'all don't mind me joining ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
