A Lone Day
Valentine’s day: a day where lovers come together to celebrate their love. But, why must it be one day where you decide to give sweeteners and chocolates, fluffy bears, or lucious roses to your significant other? I may be single, just a girl waiting to be love, and waiting to find love. But I’ll know that it is love, if everyday we are by each other’s sides. The kisses people share tears my grieving heart. I want that look of adoration that causes those rhythmic shivers down my spine. I watch as each piece of my thriving vessle scatters across the floor. I have been patient, but my patience has seemed to run out. Time will tell, they say, but time is limited and many are enjoying themselves, while I watch in sorrow.
Valentine’s day is a day where I am isolated from the exhilarating crowd. Enjoy this day, admire each other’s presence, and appreciate the gift love brings. Do this in favour of me; a girl waiting to be loved.

Beneath It All
See me at my happiest.
See me when I lie.
See me when I am boastful.
Yet why don’t you see me cry?
See me at my proudest,
And when I paint the town green.
See me at my lowest,
When the days are the slowest.
See me as I bloom.
I sway like a dancing daffodil.
See me at night,
To make my heart take flight.
But I am a lonely soul,
Waiting to be loved.
I dream of dreams that cannot be reached.
And I weep and wilt away with my selfish desires.
Grey
Such a free essence you portray.
You fly freely in the wind,
Yet your wings are a soft grey.
My heart beats rapily,
As I stop and stare.
Your eyes gleam with light.
Your smile ignites the night.
Oh! What colours I see amongst this grey.
A rainbow that only I can percieve beyond this sight.
By day, beauty is something I cannot compare to you.
And on this pleasant day,
As your wings illuminate.
I saw life behind such a colour called grey.

A Distant Approach
A Love so tender and sweet.
A Hand so warm and comforting.
This Joy I will never meet.
This Delight filled with suffering.
A Love so bewitching and fickle.
A Hand so distant and cold.
This Heart now weeps
With endless woes to behold.
A Lie so kind.
A Love so blind.
A Pain only I knew.
"I love you, and only you."
