Silent Tears
Through my silent tears, a song of memories fall
With every drop of water, heartache does recall
Each cry of remorse a note of love-how it pierces so!
Each day more distant is your smile-melodies from long ago
Never again to hear your voice so comforting and strong
Wish do I to turn back time...our conversations to prolong
To learn from you the many things your gentle heart has known
That I might understand this life, instead of being alone
My heart so weary burns for you like a frozen flower inflamed
Still am I-yet a fiery love I have within untamed
My silent tears fill then my heart and overflow with love
And sing my song this song of tears for you to hear above
___
Though I am now without you, decided have I today
That you shall live within my heart and your memory there shall stay
Dearest Friend
Dearest Friend,
A casual note do I send you,
On humble paper so meek,
But my heart is so longing to see you,
I felt that somehow I must speak.
Dearest Friend,
Tell me, how are you?
What has happened in the course of your week?
I long to hear, to speak, to listen to you,
But our chance of meeting is turning oblique.
Dearest Friend,
I now am like the ground, calling out to you,
But you are far away from me, upon a mountain peak.
I know however that with time, I once again shall see you.
So in a month our paths shall cross and our lives no more shall be bleak.
Nature In The Evening
Whisper softly like the autumn breeze.
Everything is silent, yet life is singing loud.
There is a voice within the silence whispering, whispering.
Telling of a day that is soon to come to an end.
The songs of crickets soften and birds begin their lullabies.
All preparing the world for rest.
And the sun, its light so bright, falls, descends, so it is a glowing ember.
Day is saying farewell and night tiptoes in.
Calmly letting us know we ourselves must be still.
It is a lovely thing is it not?
Nature in the evening.
It helps us to slow down awhile...nature in the evening.
