Reverence
You don't need defending
You don't need protecting
You don't need correcting
You don't need counseling
You're larger than my mind
You're not dependent on my art
You're always working
You're agenda is not my own
There is no job too big for you
There is no person too much for you
There is no feat you did not accomplish first
There is no one who can stop you
You're never too far to reach
You're always available to talk
You're full of all the answers
You're continuously pouring out
You don't need adoration
You don't need attention
You don't need me, yet you called
I never knew how much I needed you
YHWH
Sleep in Softness
Cuddled into a chrysalis
A toasty, soft burrito
The puffy, fleece throw
With a long blanket boa
Guide me as my eyelids touch
And make my brain into mush
I quickly enter into a dream
Where everything is black
It’s a thick, enveloped
Caring caress
It’s a curled and covered
Casted ball
It’s caught me with it's
Calming effect
It has me feeling
Completely complete
I’m awoken by a brisk alarm
The crispness of it shakes me
But the tenderness of my time asleep
Made my morning just as deep
Not What I Thought
The feeling of a budding tulip in my chest
Youthful yearning finally being put to rest
I thought I had entered the perfect gale
The wind was pushing through my sail
To guide me to financial freedom
My husband and I would be free to run
Away from our mother nest
But the budding tulip was addressed
And my patience was put to the test
The pay I was told I would receive
Was only just a dream

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to listen!
The description feature the poem written out to read along with, but it is here too if you prefer!
Her mind is a tree that is in the air
The air does not give her branches anything to grasp onto
So the act of grasping is her belief
She takes every opportunity to listen to the free radicals and particles
They react varyingly with her bark
And create small changes in her flora
As emotions are used to weigh whether they are toxic or not
She’s free floating fantastic
Like the unhinged astronaut in the deep void of space
She’s free to see every planet and touch every star
But her oxygen tank is emptying with every borrowed breath
Her roots are grasping down as her branches grasp up
Desperately trying to grab because they are both hungry
The air is an open ocean of endless potential
But it lacks physical sustenance
As she fills with air it takes away her insides
Flake after flake
The outer flesh is complete and pristine
But the inside is still as famished as it began
And it keeps her from being completely satisfied for longer than a gasp
She’s struggling internally
The act of grasping is good and she loves knowledge
But the nourishing and tangible ground is right underneath her
And she doesn’t want anything to do with it
So her tree starves and stops functioning properly
And uses the next best fuel
Left normally in reserve as supplementary
Pleasure
Until nothing good can be felt anymore
And the bitter fumes are all she’s left with
Until her agonized end and her paper thin outside dissipates
And the air completely consumes her
Gag - 3/22/2017
The poet is sometimes found
deep inside their own rear
and I assure you the smell of their words
is not that hard to hear
Have you noticed novice poetry?
I certainly have
I'm a novice myself
and sometimes I make me gag
The nothingness garbled
in words on a page
meant to exude reverberations
But more often these rumbles
lead straight to my throat
they get tangled
with purposelessness
and just noise
The rhythms, mechanics
to say something? What?
spit it out! but please
if you can help it
don't vomit
I crave something deeper
can we try to listen?
sometimes all that's there
is a shallow feeling
Cat - 3/22/2017
Indignant and fussy
Perked and fluffed hussy
a touch to the fur
is swatted abruptly
Strutting with confidence
and lion majesty
a wild animal entrapped
in a cozy body
But not cozy enough
to give any affection
only good to observe
from a safe distance
As a tail dashes around
from side to side
watching a window
wanting to go outside
the animal that is not my enemy
the animal that exists independently
The White Bengal Tiger - 3/28/2013
White Bengal tiger
With majesty bred
Monochrome love
For human consumption
Unnatural Cats
Once naturally wild
Stop the inbreeding
For the sake of the tigers
My mate is my sister
Her mate is her father
Cleft pallet? Defections?
Still pretty, why bother?
What is pleasing to see
Won’t be pleased to know
The reason they’re here
Is for humans alone
