Separating Ways
turning verse with quiet ease
at pens lightest touch,
rearranged with aim to please . . .
would it be asking too much,
with you on bent knees,
white-faced - straining in a clutch,
to put end to travesties
we've created? such
release fares well for journeys
newly undertaken. crutch,
lent or found for lease,
unfit prop for broken hutch
