if only I wasn’t so damn pale
Cliché and Idiom sayings taken literally
Use a cliché or an idiom to write a poem/prose taking the cliché or idiom literally, but don't specifically say what it is, so others can guess in the comments (and because, well, clichés are cliché).
List of suggestions:
Costs an arm and a leg

/Nerves of steel
/Letting the cat out of the bag
/Wild goose chase
/Woke up on the wrong side of the bed

Idea Fragments
This is the place to either use or display your idea fragments. Poems, prose, short stories, books, essays, etc. Anything works! Just use some of the random pieces of ideas that you have collected. If you don't have inspiration to use your fragments, or you don't have time, or whatever it may be, but you are still interested in sharing some of your idea fragments, you can just share the little bits and pieces that you have laying around or compiled somewhere by listing them. You can use as many Idea fragments as you want or are able to. I'd love to see your snippets of thoughts, so tag me please! ( @MariAntoinette )

A book's back cover
Write the back cover (or inside cover) of a book. (Edit: Your own book idea. I didn’t explicitly say this before, but I meant think of a book idea and write the “back cover”) It can be any genre, but it can't be for a children's book. Tag me in your post, please, if possible ( @MariAntoinette )

Shakespeare
Take one (or maybe, if you wish to, a couple) of your older pieces, and translate it into what would be considered Shakespearean language. I would say, try to pick a piece you enjoy a lot, so it will be easier to translate. Try to remember to tag me because I'm not the best at remembering to check for new posts. ( @MariAntoinette )

Characters #4
Hello everyone! Use your superb characters from the last three times to create another story: THIS TIME A RESTAURANT. The restaurant doesn't even have to be fancy; it could even be a diner...AS LONG AS THERE'S FOOD! ((If you were not in Characters 3, I highly encourage you to join, and if you just want to do this one, that's fine too.)) Make it exciting! Make it fictional! They can be any level from PG-R. I don't really care. I might make another challenge like this in a couple weeks where you will need to use the same characters in another setting! Tag me please!!! ( @MariAntoinette ) I won't remember to check if I don't get a notification from being tagged! I love to read your stories!!

Hello everyone! Use your superb characters from the last two times to create another story: THIS TIME SHOPPING. It doesn't even need to be traditional shopping... just buying something! If you were not in Characters 1 or 2, I highly encourage you to join them, and if you just want to do this one, that's fine too. Make it exciting! Make it fictional! They can be any level from PG-R. I don't really care. I might (and you all will need to let me know if you want another) make another challenge like this in a couple weeks (depending on how many stories are posted) where you will need to use the same characters in another setting! Tag me please!!!

Ad images
Screenshot one of the ad images on Prose, and write something incorporating the ad image into your writing somehow. Then attach it to your post before publishing it. (I found my ad picture off of my phone, and I haven't found very good ad pictures on my laptop, so they might be specific to different device screen sizes...Idk) Don't forget to tag me!! Make use of two very different characters either through personality, physical traits, or both in a short story taking place in a coffee shop. Make it exciting! Make it fictional! They can be any level from PG-R. I don't really care. I'm going to make another challenge like this in a week or two (depending on how many stories are posted) where you will need to use the same characters in another setting! Tag me please!!! I won't remember to check if I don't get a notification from being tagged. The picture in my post will be of the coffee shop I pictured, but you don't have to go off of that.

Rudyard Kipling "Just so Stories"
Recently, while commenting on one of my very first posts "Homeless Turtle," I thought about a great challenge prompt: Rudyard Kipling stories! If you do not know about his "Just So Stories," they're a great read. If you do (or even if you don't) know about him and his stories, write a story about how something came to be. I'm sharing my "How Turtles Got Their Shells." (this is a link to his Just So Stories": https://www.gutenberg.org/files/2781/2781-h/2781-h.htm ) TAG ME PLEASE!!

"Who am I to tell you..."
Must use this dialogue in a short story (or poem, but just know that for this prompt I favor short stories) between 50 and 700 words long. Tag me in the comments, so I will know right away when there is a new entry to read!

Lighthearted, silly, short poems, flash fiction stories, or small set of sentences... spelling errors required
Pretend your spelling is like a six year old's; the only words they can spell correctly are: you, the, a, an, I, cat, bat...etc. They write a lot based on the pronounciation of words. Rite a short poim, flash fikshun storie, or smaull set of sentenses with spelleng misteaks... Sort of like the cows from Chick-Fil-A except a little more extreme. 57 words or less... Tag me in the comments please! (AND HAVE FUN)
