Evangel of Robert Johnson
Told in four separate narratives and banned ever since its initial publication, Evangel of Robert Johnson spans across the Yazoo Delta of Mississippi during the Great Depression, weaving a story modeled after ancient poems in the epic tradition as biography for the Mythological Bluesman.
Part One reads as a film treatment with the sentence structure informed by Japanese Haiku, tracing the final seven years of Johnson’s life from the time he supposedly sold his soul to the devil for musical greatness to his life in saloons across the backcountry of the American South, to his only known recordings and his strange and untimely death.
Part Two is an Americanized adaptation of the four Gospels combined, with Robert Johnson serving as the child and father and spirit of mysterious and darkened creation risen from the ash and history of the American South, especially the Mississippi Delta, tracking down a part-historically-accurate and part-imagined bloodline for Johnson parallel to the bloodline of Christ.
Told by an unknown character who would have been a very close friend of Johnson, the perspective of Part Three adapts John Milton’s Satan as a folksy and charming Southern snake-oil man.
And the final section of the novel is itself strictly based upon Johnson’s own music and lyrics, reading as an opera of prose or modern-day epic music video, following a circus of freaks, called Mystics Medicine Show, bound for New Orleans, rendering myth and fact, history and invention, fiction and truth, Hell and earth--the blues of Robert Johnson as a gateway unto realms beyond this world.
HARRY POTTER: The complete collection
This is about how the eleventh birthday of two boys, with a five and a half decades gap, growing under the same happenstance of being raised without parents, concoct a whole new prevalence of the already existing magical world in their life. About how the drastic variance in conviction, with which these eleven-year-olds embrace this new reality, entwine their fates and make them a villain in the each other’s story.
One of them, insatiably ambitious, inquisitive, logical, a person with meagre emotion and an unquenchable thirst to achieve greatness; spends his life finding a suitable expedient to engrave his name in history. But that expedient he chooses create terror in people’s mind, as it’s labelled as evil in the laws of nature ,and they engrave him as YOU-KNOW-WHO in their minds and he becomes a villain in all of their stories.
The other one, generously brave, kind-hearted and intuitive becomes increasingly inquisitive about himself as every soul in this another-lifetime-reality, that fate spawns in his life, knows his name and the story behind his lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead that he himself is not aware of. The story that silenced the other ambitious eleven year old boy. Humble by nature, he discredits himself from this greatness, even though his name is forever engraved in people’s hearts even before he could speak or comprehend all of their names. He creates a camaraderie with the people he meet in this magical world, that teaches him the value of friendship and love. He tries to be the saviour that all of them believe him to be, even though he knows that luck must be accredited on a great account for it , and he becomes the HERO in all of their stories except the other eleven year old boy’s, from whom he strives to save the rest.
The diverse conviction that each of them had on their eleventh birthday, that created this drastic impact in their life, can be summarised with the kick-phrases,
“Greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite and spite spawn lies.”
“I don’t go looking for trouble, trouble usually finds me.”
We celebrate people whom we engrave in our hearts or become “THE LIGHT IN OUR DARK TIMES”, so we celebrate the younger of these two boys, we celebrate HARRY POTTER, The boy who lived!

WHAT THE CRITICS ARE SAYING:
“For anyone interested in chicanery, poor metabolism, and the Heimlich Maneuver, this book will bring tears to your eyes. Author Bradley ‘Hip-Hop’ Bochchevesky takes the reader on a roller coaster ride through the mind of a wannabe cryptographer born without
the ability to count on his fingers. A stunning debut.”
-- Phynda Lipps, New Yuk Times best selling author of Bad Nun: How I Faked My Way Through Three Years of Silence
“This almost untranslatable book by the young Yugoslavian author Bochchevesky is a confusing mishmash of double entendres, in the spirit of Cameron Phelps' classic Robeless Rider (2015.) That it succeeds in melting your heart, and your underwear, is
miracle of great writing.”
-- Ogleby Endorphin, best selling author of Motivation Upside-down: How to Outwit Yourself With Cross Referencing
“Although I was in rehab for several months after translating this book, it was worth it.”
-- Benny Yong, award winning translator of Weeping, Wailing, Wanton Woe
“This complex, tender, frantically funny book must have shredded the editor. I could not read it in one sitting, as after the third chapter I broke out in stress
hives. The chapter on his birth, ‘Waking in the Woo-Woo,’ is unlike anything ever written. If you survive this book, you can survive anything. Five Stars.”
