She’s There
My fingers fidget with the cross hanging from my neck, years of training echo in my ears. Sex outside of marriage, sin! homosexuality, sin! lust, sin! I can‘t seem to catch my breath, thinking so hard about every thought captivating it before it leaves. I can do this I can be what they trained me to be; I fall asleep saying my prayers. She’s there she makes me laugh, my heart skips a beat as she takes my hand. The way she looks at me and I at her the purest of love. The way she undresses me with her eyes, entranced by are needs for each other. She kisses me and I feel as though I’m finally taking a breath. I awake and the guilt hits me, betraying the beliefs of my life’s foundation; and yet every time I close my eyes she’s there, and with her I finally feel free.
The Salty Trail
Rolling salt ran along the surface as it always did, rain or shine it went. The salt left its trail as it fell. One couldn’t help but look to see where it started. Eyes focused, going the opposite direction of the salt as it rolled further and further away. Curiosity continued to pull, leading one to follow the trial it left behind shining on a surface, light, and for a moment, more dark, more deep; before once again becoming light. A long smooth arch approached stunting the view just enough to make one wonder what was on the other side. Pushing forward, long black branches that lightened at their tips, stretched out hiding the path, thick and intwined together. Soft shadows from the dark branches danced, teasing at the way through. A feeling tingles and pulls at the heart its almost here, the rolling salts origin is beyond the shodows. The branches clear, and a cool pond of white liquid appears. Red lotus and lilys grow in streaks across it. Breath is stripped from the lungs, enriched greens and golds twist into each other, embedded in one another, and yet placed softly on the surface. Heart hitches, a heavy weight now burdening the body, at the same time butterfly’s gather in the body, playing all around circling each other in glee. The air comes back as balloon filling and releasing. Tears! falling from those mesmerizing GREEN eyes; entoxicating ones mind at the end of that salty trail.
