Unrequited
She died a thousand deaths while loving him
She never did give up on the one she loved ; loyalty
deniably she knew he did though, she wasted time hoping for something which decomposed so long ago.
While carrying his last name no longer meant anything
he kept falling for the next woman, how many reoccurring moments has he fallen out of love with me she asked
Maybe love is as replaceable as he had expressed to her
Years have gone by, it’s as if the pain was embedded last night
Let it go... just let it go he screams
What we had is dead... and we can never have what we had
Deep inside, she knows she can’t bring back what’s passed,
Now she questions wether she was a fool to believe that love could conquer anything
In a chase after a ghostly love, she forgot what it felt to be loved again...
Her broken marriage, had led to the destruction of everything she has ever believed in
She once was a Hopeless romantic, and love now
seems to just be overrated ..
Behind “her mask”
A new mask is worn by her each and every day,
Unknowingly it carves a piece of herself out along the way
Superiority amongst one another
It is merely an illusion
We are each different yet also strangely the same
But still knowing this,
Lurking there is an recurring event of undoubtedly fear.
Underneath that mask lies,
Hiding her true authenticity
Even though her masks irritate her skin, she can’t relax and be herself, she still can’t help but resist the change
Anxiety....
