Forgotten Grave
I dig into the earth, fingers clawing like an angry spade. much like a hoe I rip away maggots and squirming worms, drawn out by the thundering rain. The water pools in my grave. Bones nestled gently in a hardy box. A coffin not of my choosing. keeping my memory locked away. The seed of my sorrow. The fruit of my fear. I uncover what is lost. Fingers picking away at rotten wood. I feel the tears grow. Feel them drip down my ghostly frame. Feel the flowering of something long forgotten. I used to till the pain, let it bloom inside me. But now I let it all fade. Let the peace over take me. A feeling only earned in Death. I will not be forgotten as I know I have been found.
The Forest
the rot starts from within
growing out from within the wood
brittle like the ends of an ashy fire
dripping black oil, staining the forest
empty branches crack in the wind
hollow corpses in a row
huddled under a blackened sky
pelted by the never ending rain
black bark chips away
crumbling to dust under the heavy downpour
but still, it stands
an empty forest left to rot
a scar across the earth
forever silent
waiting for the rain to stop
Golden Honey
The sunlight peaks through the lace curtains. The heavenly morning rises with the sky as the warm light fills the home. light so soft it purifies the darkness. The silent night stillness melts away, warm golden honey filling in between the cold gaps. Fresh morning dew drops coat pastel petals as they sway in a spring breeze, brushing up gently agaisnt the pink cottage walls. the butterflies and bees emerge, ready for the day. They flutter through an overgrown garden, basking in the golden light. Humming birds nest in the trees, rainbow feathers refelcting like stained glass. The calmless stills the rising earth, a gentle scene gifted by the rise of a new day.
The Hunt
You hear footsteps. Are you ready? Can you hear them running like the approaching storm? Your heart is pounding. Your breath is heavy. You love the blood that splatters the floor. There’s no golden morning light. Just the silver moon guiding your way. Ghouls haunt the forest, beckoning you their way. Thunder booms in your soul, All that’s left is the ringing. Your soggy skin shakes with the pain of knowing somethings broken. The hunt never ends, time is always chasing. Creeping up behind you and breathing down your neck. Fear is the only friend you have, always by your side even till death.
You’re Falling.
You’re falling. Falling like the stars when no one is watching. You flicker. In and out of reality, fading fast as you black out from the height. The sunset watches your decent, mind reeling from the gravity of time. You’ve never felt so hopeless. It burns you up until you’re gone. You’ve been trying to hold on; to the feeling of wonder you’ve felt so many times. Of the glittery stars that light up the night, it must be nice to always shine so bright. The morning moon lets you dry your tears; incoming sorrow can seem so limitless sometimes. You let go of the pain that fades away with the night. A new day approaches. A new chance to fight.
Ruby Red
My heart is bleeding rubies. They glimmer in the fading light. They crumble in my shaking hands, staining my fading bones. The pain falls heavy, a knife deep in my throat. It's a thief that cuts me open and makes me miss the rain. If i could collect all the blood I've lost, I could pay to take the pain away. Stars poke out of fading visions, hues heavy with glittery lies. They twinkle in my memory, is this what people see before they die? Wolves howl at the rising moon, already mourning their loss. A bloody smile counts the slowing beats of my heart. Sparkly jewels crumble around me, meaningless as Death comes for my soul.
