before you go.
tell me you love me,
one more time.
love held our hands at 19
years old; fate ran their fingers
through our hair. so when
our memories desire to access
the past, this is what my heart
will bleed.
tell me i was once your
everything.
we chewed our fate like gum,
passed it between our tongues;
so no, it’s not our fault it lost
the flavor of desiring. and parts
of you will stay with me forever,
tucked away until i need reminding.
tell me this was real
to you too.
if the words meant to be liked us
enough, they would’ve told us what
needed changing, so our forever
wasn’t temporary. but instead, never
ripped apart our dreams and beings
so carelessly.
before you go,
tell me something worth remembering.
Before you go
I know there’s little time –
100 years more
would be
too little,
but,
what we have
is quite a bit less;
so much more life
in memory
than awaiting.
I’m not complaining.
I am ever thankful
for every day
we have shared -
even the
shoot me please days
for they serve
to highlight
how strong,
how resilient,
how beautiful
is the love
we kindled –
against
quite a few odds –
with a shy smile
that sparked
an indelible connection,
so very long ago.
And here we are…
still.
A few more moments
with our hearts
our minds
our souls
in sync.
Before you go,
please,
hold my hand.
I won’t let go.
I love you, so.
Before you go
Before you go,
hold me close again.
Before you go,
make me feel like we’re a whole for a moment more.
Before you go,
help me understand how we fell out of love.
Before you go,
give us a chance.
Before you go,
think twice about it.
Before you go,
kiss my forehead as you did before...
As you did before our love ran dry like bones,
As you did before our words to each other were sweet.
As you did before...
when you & I were in love - which feels like years ago.
Before you go,
think of me.
Of us.
Before you go,
give a chance
at loving me again.
Before you go,
sing the lullaby of love to me.

Don’t Go
Is there something before you go,
That I would like for you to know,
Take you on a trip and I could show,
You the way you make my body glow.
I could sit with you and watch the river flow.
I could sit in a field with you and watch the daisies grow,
Together we could watch the rhythm of the rain and how slow,
It falls on my face and combines with my tears as they go.
Never giving you a chance to say no.
I want to say I love you before you go.
Before you go
Leave the light on and tell me that you love me.
Make me believe what you say is true.
Look at me longingly, with those eyes of crystal blue.
For a moment, just let me pretend it's real.
Then go on your way, slip down my hall. With a smile on your face, though we both know you won't call.
And I'll be ok, because before you left, you gave me one moment I'll never regret.
Before You Go
Before you go, let me say I'm sorry, please...
I wanted to hold you one more time before twilight's gleam
We could have walked the shiny shore and licked ice cream
The words will forever haunt me, the ones I didn't say
Now they'll just be blown away by an indifferent wind
I see the pain on a face death has stricken and dimmed
I can only watch as time fades, heart fled to another day
Purpose
Before you go let me first state that I love you.
I’ve loved you with not just my heart, but my soul.
That I’ve told everyone I know how much I love you.
But I cannot be with you mother...
We cannot share the same space....
We will not be together on this earth.
I’am not your child, but I have always been a spiritual friend.
You were meant to only birth me.
Because of you I am here.
Thankyou grand spirit and bless your soul.
We will meet again.
Perhapes on another plane of existence.
And maybe next time I will birth you...
