The Pride of Prose
On looking through those you are following, I find it no wonder that you feel left out of the site’s community. You have failed to follow it’s most active, creative people. I am truly surprised that you have stayed active yourself for as long as you have without identifying it’s players.
I was originally glued to the site by a story dctezcan posted long ago, and then quickly deleted. It was a riveting, frightening post that made me aware that I had found a writing site with ballsy writers producing courageous content. The story enthralled me, while also leaving my skin crawling, and shamed by my gender. I thought it was one of the best short pieces I had ever read, and I have read a lot.
I love the challenges and witty rhymings posted by EstherFlowers1.
Mfrobs writes in a down home, long ago style that I love.
Posey writes, in my humble opinion, the best poetry on site. Every one of her poems is filled with a beautiful, nervous tension that leaves me wanting more, and less.
Mazzmyrrheyes’ structured stylings alone are worth an account on the site.
I have followed along as CatLady1 has grown into a creative, fun-filled storyteller.
rlove327 is an intellectual, and exacting stylist.
It is tragic for us readers that Undermeyou went to work for the site and is now depriving us of her energy, and angst.
I love sandflea68’s sixty-nine tales of dead men, JimLamb’s three word critiques, and Mnezz’s constant and instantaneous support and reposts.
I visit regularly for anarosewood’s dismantling of the night skies, and Mclarice’s putting those stars back together.
TomJonas tells a great story.
But mostly I fail to see how you can enjoy the site without following BonnieBoo, who does a little bit of all of the above, and does it all with a big heart and a twangy, mid-western, apple pie style.
Apologies to those who are deserving to be mentioned, but here it is for me.
Get on board the Prose train @EvelynDawn... before you are left at the station!
Adios, and vaya con dios!
The Following
Do you wanna read a poem?
Do you wanna read story?
I don’t do it for gold
I don’t do it for glory
I just wanna paint a picture
I just wanna paint a mood
So if you want a distraction
Then you know it’s all good
So come on
Why don’t you come on
and follow me
So come on
Why don’t you come on
and follow me
I’ll make you feel happy
I’ll make you feel sad
I’ll get you all excited
Then I’ll make you mad
I'll try and take you higher
and then I’ll bring you down
So if you want to feel emotion
You outta come around
So come on
Why don’t you come on
and follow me
So come on
Why don’t you come on
and follow me
My Mission And Journey
I am a teacher and an aspiring actor. My goal is to create work that inspires, entertains and motivates. I have been blessed by many wonderful stories put together by many wonderful writers, directors, behind the scenes crew, and actors over the years. I want to do my part to contribute to great storytelling as well. Writing is an extension of this goal of mine - by writing I can keep my mind sharp, boost my own creativity, and hopefully inspire someone through the words I write. I used to write all the time in high school and my early college years, then I only wrote on and off over the past several years. Since April 2020 I have been writing Bible journals every day, and I am branching out into writing short stories, occasional poetry, and of course, these writing challenges. I invite anyone that wants to join me on this journey to do so - I look forward to reading your words and sharing in your adventures too!
I May Actually Have Interacted with You
Hey! I actually thought I followed you already, but I mix you up with another user, emdawson, who is also super awesome. I like their (her, I think) stories, and my brain is not good at differentiating when letters are the same and the E and D really gets me. No clue why. Steve is usually better than this. Yes, my brain's name is Steve. It's a whole thing. Why you should follow me is beyond me. I guess I'm funny, I like to swear and write about people that are as sarcastic and annoying as I am (mainly females; males are frustratingly simple and I always feel like I'm writing generic males and not groundbreaking characters but I digress).
Anyways, I do all types of genres, though I stray away from romance, erotica, and horror since I feel like it requires finesse that I just can't muster up. Plus, the whole males thing kinda sucks when I'm writing a story about hetero or sometimes gay romances it feels a little 2D. I've been practicing but I have yet to get that circle to become a sphere. I don't post often because this college shit is really difficult to navigate, but I have like 500+ posts I think (I've been on here for FAR too long) so you'll always have something random to read. I don't make books too because it's hard. I get ideas but honestly my follow through is just not good. Again, college.
I haven't seen a PG anything in awhile so pretend the cuss words are bleeped out. If you are against cuss words, I promise you all of mine are used tastefully and in meaningful places. I'm not just dropping F-bombs like I do in real life; every swear word is very necessary. Plus, every "erotica" that I've ever written is soft porn at worst. There are like five total I think and they're pretty evenly dispersed so it's not too bad if you're underaged/uncomfortable with smut. Plus, I think they're tagged but if you were to see one, if you can comment on it or something (again, 500+ posts; very hard to find anything here), I'd add an 18+ thing on it in the title so people know.
I think that's it. I love writing. I'm pretty sure I've read some of your stuff as well and I like your writing; I actually thought I was following you before this challenge. If you are the one that I have the inside joke with, there is plenty of fratricide all over the place. If not, ignore the previous sentence. :) Anyway, good luck with COVID and school if you're the one that's like 16ish and still in high school. That's probably a nightmare.
A Library In Itself
My brain is a library in itself. I am full of all different types of stories from every genre for any group of people. If you peruse through my page, you will most likely find something you enjoy, from poems to short stories to long prose. From action to romance to sci-fi to fantasy. From advice to prayers to words of encouragement. If you just so happen NOT to find anything, know that I am also open to requests! In addition to that, I'm always entering contests, so there's usually something new on my page. FUN FACT: I make nearly all of the art and photographs I use in my posts-- and I always add a photo to my posts. ;] To top it all off, I am a bright and bubbly person who is always very helpful and friendly. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here.
Plus, I have my own budding discord server:

God bless and thanks for reading!
