My Passions
1. Writing. I love it SO much! I've been writing since I was about eight. I learned to spell every word I came across in a book. I learned how to write with proper punctuation and grammar. I wrote a twenty page book at the age of ten, and haven't stopped writing since.
2. Quilling. Ever heard of it? It's a rolled paper art craft thing. It is not hard to do, if you start with the basics, but definitely gets harder farther on. (You should google it sometime!) I've been doing it for seven years, and it is SO fun! I plan to sell some on Etsy some time. (Actually, my art for this post, is one of my quilling designs.)
3. Life. I love life! Why? Because every day that I live and breathe, I can tell yet another person about the Lord that I love so much. And, perhaps, bring another soul to Jesus.
Happy Earth Day!
God blessed us with this beautiful planet, and one of our first assignments as humans was to take care of it. Yes, there is a promise of Eternal Life above, but that is no excuse to neglect and destroy the place where we live right now. We share this habitat with so many other people, animals, and plants.
Genesis 1:31 kjv
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
The Earth is a good gift. A VERY GOOD gift. The best way to express our appreciation is not to take it for granted.
Let's do our part today and every day!
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
Don't litter! Find a trash bin.
Be nice to our animal friends.
Care for the wonderful plants around us.
Don't let the water run unnecessarily.
Power down lights and devices when not in use.
No deed is too small!
Have an exuberantly blessed Earth Day! What's your commitment?
Passion
Passion. I always felt like it was a topic that should easily come off the top of my head. Yet when people ask me what I am passionate about I often draw a blank. So in turn I'll start with this. What makes me most excited is listening to music. Not a specific genre or artist, just music in general. It has always had the capability of taking me places only my imagination and creativity can explore. It inspires my writing and my reading. It even encourages me in the workplace and keeps my headgears turning. Music has always allowed me to reflect on the world around me and the future I'd love to see. This leads me to my love for the environment.
I could never pinpoint why I loved learning about the environment and the world around me, but it is a subject I consider myself keen on. Ever since I was young, the main thing I wanted to do in life helped the environment. I am thoroughly inspired by the nature around us and the possibilities that it holds. It makes me excited to think about how technology and nature can go hand in hand, that all of the beauty we see in futuristic movies are not so far from reality.
Now I could go on and on about all of the things that I find interesting and probably could pinpoint even more passions I didn't fully realize I had. But I will simply say that my passion lies in my love for music and the environment, and feeds off my imagination and creativity of the world around us.
