The Time I’m...
Waking up without worries. Jumping out of bed with the sun and walking out of my little dirt shed bedroom. Walking across the ground so beaten grass no longer grows, just to scrap up breakfast. That's what I miss. When I had no responsibilities, nothing to do, and living an adventure every day.
All the lights in the sky are stars
Insignificant
A mass of flesh
Some dream
That must fill me
Oh morning
How you used to fill the night
So filling to the hunger
Of cries for companionship
What a thrill
Close enough to cover
My eyes and yet far enough
That I can't reach out for a touch
A steamboat in my faith
That I could topple
The trials of dark perdition
The flowers
They must bloom just for you
With the hopes
Of touching your beauty
No better words
Describe my solace
Knowing
You rise and fall
For another
I burn
To your touch
And fade away
As a candle
Leaves the dark
It's the memory
Buried in the thought
Of seeing the rest of the world
That keeps me
Selflessly dragging along
Is it that laugh?
On a summer's day,
Or pure attraction.
That binds me to you,
To forever stare
At the horizon
