Run Away With Me
Let's go now,
leave this town behind.
Forget the furniture,
The unpaid bills ,
Those who love to hurt,
Those who it hurts to love.
Your job sucks,
Mine does too.
Why wait anymore?
Here, I'm a woman defeated.
Here, you're a disheartened man.
Let's go where no one knows.
We can start fresh,
Reincarnated.
We'll pretend that we're
Whole people.
Complete.
We can live off the grid
In the forest
Or chase tornados
Across the Midwest.
We can be beach bums
Or snow bunnies.
We'll find freedom
After letting go of this life,
Crossing that bridge to Peace.
Nothing To Lose
There is no evil in the mind
Of an eight-year-old in the creek.
A young boy feels no need to unwind,
Or heed the days of the week.
Those days beneath the bridge I played
Now seem so far away.
With soap in hand and bills unpaid,
I wade waist-deep, dismayed.
My home is clay beside the water,
My bath between the banks.
Last year, they called me "globetrotter,"
Charities gave me thanks.
This world makes little sense to me,
But at least I can speak my views.
Freedom of Speech uninhibited,
When a man has nothing to lose.
November 20th, 2015
From his spot on the bridge,
everything seemed so much clearer
and he suddenly could not believe how long
he had spent staring at grey clouds,
how long he had forgotten about the sun.
A sense of freedom erupted in his being, beginning in his toes and ending in his
head, where it began to swallow the parasites that had created a home in his brain.
No longer did he feel like a car stalled out and running on empty--
no.
Today he was a man capable of seeing the sun.
Today he was a man running towards tomorrow.
Cancer or Death
A bald man stands stiffly on the edge looking out
the bridge is to his back the road to his front
there is only one act he as left to do
he yells his last words as he jumps off
"I can't take the pain anymore"
he hit the road hard leaving nothing but pieces and blood
later that day the police found out it was either
cancer or death, he chose the easy way
but now they know that he is free
freedom of pain, needles, and drugs
free to live happier than he was on earth
Freedom is what we get
All these people fighting to protect us.
A single man in war has as much bravery as all of us
they provide freedom for us
but when these loved soldiers die at battle they will always go to the "Bridge"....
A place were there loved ones can visit them...
cry there tears
but they will always remember that you fought for this country to protect them.
They will never stop loving you no matter what
Freedom is what they want us to have
Freedom is what we get for all those lives that we have lost
Bridges
freedom's bridge for man does lie
between earth and heaven's chasm vast
unseen by men, but few
angelic beings' reality, man's freedom key
freedom's bridge for man spans hell
whose flames pearled girders lick
its myriad trusses majestic arches stretch
to infinite edge of space
Jacob's ladder spanned to bridge
separation between God and him
beheld spirit beings traversing there
electronic apps for man do bridge
interface between Cloud and his race
internet's marvel communique
if all men's eyes could see, as angels do
man would form an app
search a way to bridge the gap
between God and him
One more
Climbing on to the railing of this bridge,
I think to myself,
"one more step till freedom."
Because I, a man, can not soar.
I do not posses the mighty wings of an eagle.
Which is why you find me here on this bridge today.
I crave the strength and respect
this majestic bird receives,
That I know will never be
mine, at least not until,
I take this step.
