Our eyes met across the train station. Through the bustling people who had places to be, as the train slowed to a stop on the platform, I saw the face I'd known for years, smiling. Uncertainly I walked towards him, afraid I'd mistaken someone else as him, eyes fixed, afraid I'll lose sight of him, heart racing, afraid he'd slip through my fingers again. He stopped in front of me. I simply stood there, unsure of what to say. Suddenly, he embraced me. For one perfect moment, 15 years hadn't gone by and we were the same people we'd been.
