I’m floored, yet bored with
Zero return, zero reward
Dump him in a dumpster
Roll him in a sheet!
Fit him in the litter
Buckle him, chuckle
as you hang him
inside out
bones swaying to and fro.
Dump him in a dumpster
Roll him in a sheet!
Let him go, take his body
throw into manure
no lure, no allure, I’m sure
rant and rave
nothing to save
Dump him in a dumpster
Roll him in a sheet!
Puncture him, deflate ego
lay him in muck, duck
swat rot
Dump him in a dumpster
Roll him in a sheet!
One more problem solved
One more problem solved, Another one arises
Civilizations collapse and turn to Ashes
Children scream and families vanish,
Ignored for too long, so many had gone
When the war was over, the entire world felt their hearts cry
We tried to make amends, we tried
One more problem solved, another one arises
Misjudgment allowing people of ignorance passes
Hellish conditions and killings of the masses
Clashes between all of the classes
When we think we found serenity
We find pain and scrutiny
We thought we would have tranquility,
We are devoid of equality
One more problem solved, another one arises
One More Problem Solved
I look up and see the wide grin on your face,
The crooked teeth,
The breath that smells of onions and hatred.
I try to look away,
Squeeze my eyes shut,
Feel your rusted knife against my throat
As I let out a bloodcurdling scream.
It rips through the air as a
Warm drop of blood falls.
I dig my fingernails into your hand,
Whispering now,
Pleading,
PleasePleasePleasePleasePlease.
I will try harder, I promise,
Just give me another chance.
You smell my fear and drink it in,
And you whisper back,
"Getting rid of you
Means one more problem solved."
One More Problem Solved
He holds the pen like a machine gun. Ambushed, blast them all!!!!!!!!
Aaahhhh, not hitting a mark, the ground’s completely unscarred. Yes, that blank sheet of paper: Unmarred.
…wait, Hola, looking for something. He’s checked the drawers. Thumbed texts! Gapped out windows. Humph, even consulted the stars. Then, all at once rising from hands and knees —from under the counter amidst the fluff— urgent gasps.
There it is! Make haste. Follow that bee with precious pollen, buzzing so’s we can taste the honey on the tip of his tongue! in the back of this mind!
Pen pierces paper with Idea.
One More Problem Solved
I scurry through my house, trying to bring order. Dishes to wash, pills to count, laundry to wash, calls to make, emails, plan dinner, don’t forget a shower.
Arrgh! I still haven’t made banana bread! This fruit is literally rotting on my counter and I’m doing nothing about it. I can’t keep up!
Claxons peal through the corridors of my mind and a voice repeats, “Meltdown imminent. Evacuate now.”
No! I won’t go out of my own mind! I snatch up the bananas and dump them into the garbage.
Deep breath.
Silence.
Hah, take that! That’s one more problem solved.
