Scarred
My scars cut me and run deep
Criss-crossing my back
Ruining my arms and legs
And scarring my beautiful face.
But this I prefer to the old way,
Where every lie left no physical mark
But every lie left a scar on the mind,
Disfiguring sanity
Line by line
And causing chaos
In the minds of liars.
And why have sympathy for them?
You ask.
As if ‘them’ was someone else.
And not us all.
Fine
“It’s always the quiet ones,” says the coroner shaking his head as he stares down at the mess on the floor. Blood pools around the head of a man lying at an awkward angle.
An officer whistles low. “Check out the scars on him,” he says.
“Yeah. These suicides have lots,” the coroner replies.
They can hear a woman in the hall, sobbing loudly, “I talked to him this morning. He said he was fine.”
Grand Crown of Lies
‘’I’m ready to die by your side.”
He fell to his knees. A few soldiers, ran to his side.
They carried him to his room. Once he was left alone, he removed his uniform.
“The men would not make it a day without me.”
His chin hurt. He looked in a mirror and saw a mark forming across his face.

The Biggest Lie
I had joined the military. Every man and woman showed scars from their lies. But the major had one from his ear to his hip. So deep that it hugged around his spine. In the heat of battle, I was shot in the chest. Crying out, I fell. I reached up clinging to life, then I saw the Major at my side. As I lay dying, he whispered, “It’s going to be alright.”
Her Scar
Gwen held back her tears. "No," she protested, "I really do." She blinked frantically, trying to give her lungs air. The new scar stung on her face, expanding from her left eye to her to the bottom of her lips. When she touched her cheek her hand came away red.
Jordon looked like she had punched him in the chest.
"Jordon, I do," Gwen knew the pain was about to come back. "I love you."
Lie
I drop my head, lowering my eyes as Zander moves closer.
His smell of cold metal and rain and secret hide-aways haunts me. A scar traces the path of a long forgotten tear, from the corner of his eye to the edge of his jaw.
"Please, Adora, you don't have to do this; let someone else," he pleads.
"I'm not scared." I pray he cannot see the red-hot scar tightening around my neck.
Ugly

Dear Diary,
I can't believe what happened today!
It wasn't just bullies this time.
Josi insaulted me, like always, but when she called me ugly, her face remained clean- or at least as clean as it was.
I asumed it was just her opinion, but when Mother called me beautiful, a red mark began to grow under her eye.
Noticing her mistake, she added "In my eyes," but the scar had already formed.
Baby
“You know what you have to do with it.”, he whispered.
“I love you."she said.
He couldn’t afford to get a scar in front of his colleagues so he simply hugged her. She went to the bathroom thinking how much she loved him but how badly he wanted to get rid of the child.
She said,“I will abort you.”
The baby inside was scared to see the scar in the amniotic sac.

Look
"I'll forgive you."
Muttering those words over the phone, I should've known their effect. Nonetheless, I said them, and a sharp pain ran across my face.
"I'll always love you. We're family; that won't change."
I strained to speak, suppressing any indication of discomfort. The call ended.
I looked in the mirror.
A large scar covered my eye and cheek.
Hah... but what did it matter? He wouldn't see it anyways.
He never saw me.
