An Average Day for Me:
Wake up to my alarm clock at 6:15.
Hit snooze and stay in bed until 6:30, thinking about random stuff.
Actually get out of bed at 6:31.
Take a shower.
Pace and simulate dialogue between characters in scenes while blow-drying/straightening my hair and getting dressed.
Skip breakfast because I spent too much time trying to figure out what tone of voice Character A was using toward Character B, but that’s okay, I’m not hungry in the morning anyway.
Drive to school with fun music playing. The music sets my tone for the day, so I try to play upbeat stuff. But I can’t have certain songs playing while I’m driving, otherwise I focus less on driving and more on the character I associate with said songs.
Get to school at 7:45.
Spend fifteen minutes trying to figure out what homework I forgot to do the night before.
School starts at 8:00.
From 8:00 to 3:20, have moments where I am socially awkward, annoyed at people, appreciative of people, really smart, really stupid, and very energetic. Also includes moments where I start giggling maniacally when I figure a plot point or character arc out and everyone thinks I’m insane (they’re right).
On days where there is drama club, I get to let loose my insanity and can yell without anyone telling me to shut up. I’m really good at acting due to years of embodying my characters' emotions and reactions in order to synthesize the best reactions for them.
I go home.
Eat dinner.
Get told by my parents to stop talking so much.
Do homework.
Stop doing homework at 10:30.
Stay up until however long I can listening to music and pacing and thinking about plot, character development, or dialogue.
Go to bed.
Once in a blue moon, I actually know the exact words I want to write down, so then I write. Otherwise, everything I think about lives in my head. Maybe that's why everyone thinks I'm crazy.
In short: boring, disorganized, and disappointing.
Why I Enjoy About Writing
.
Writing is a fun and enjoyable way of saying whatever I want to without any limitations. It's great being able to say whatever you want to. I can secretly tell others about myself in stories and everything which is wonderful being able to get this out somewhere, someway and somehow.
Whatever's on my mind comes out in my writing. It could be what I went through during my childhood to what's been happening in my current life. It's great being able to do this because it feels wonderful in doing so.
What I enjoy about writing is when I hear a positive comment or two from others. I also believe they too like to hear about whatever they wrote too. I read and comment on others writing because I like doing this also.
