Thirty Seconds before Eternity
Crying people in black,
Some are just wearing masks.
Yet they are all shedding tears
For someone in a coffin.
My parents were crying,
My ‘friends’ were secretly laughing.
After all, it was a success, their murder,
Which they blamed on an innocent ‘intruder’.
“Your time is up.” Death said.
It was really tough being dead.
My time was too short and Death was too sly,
I couldn’t even say a proper goodbye.
The Reason
The reason why I lie
Was to see your carefree smile.
So when you asked me if I’m okay,
The opposite of the truth was all I got to say.
I want you to laugh freely,
To always think that life is easy.
For easing your worry
Is my sole duty.
You don’t understand, do you?
This is not just about never being blue.
It’s about protecting your happiness ’til death,
The only thing that gives me strength.
