Bi-Positivity
It is a sin they say
To love whomever you may,
Bisexuality isn't just a phase
It is a part of life's race
It is something you must face
And learn to acknowledge and love
It is like the purest dove
That floats in the pond
With all those self proclaimed 'normal' people hating on you
For, It is a sin they say
To love whomever you may.
Harry Situation Reviews: Agony
Holy hell!
Agony is the new triple-A independent horror game for the XBox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game features you the player as a soul sent down into the deepest depths of Hell, and your only salvation of escaping this nightmare realm is to seek out an entity known only as the Red Goddess, who may or may not be the ruler or the creator of this version of Hell.
From my understanding, this game was one of the most anticipated titles of the year. It started out as a Kickstarter title and garnered a lot of money from folks. Originally, it was slated for release back in March but got pushed to May for unknown reasons. I’ll even admit that I was looking forward to check this game out. But I sadly learned, as this title may suggest, this game was agonizing to play.
Let me talk about the big positive first, which is the most talked about thing in this game. The design of this setting is visually stunning yet disturbing at the same time. This is probably the most fucked up version of Hell I had ever seen in a video game since Dante’s Inferno. Everything in this game was made to make the player uncomfortable. From the walls that are made of meat and skin to the demons that have heads in the phallic shape of a vagina with teeth. It is gross, disturbing, and frankly pretty fucked up. Even the demon characters from my Sins of the Father stories would be puking in a corner if they saw all this. I’ll admit that it was a little enjoyable seeing how much effort was put into making this game stand out, but at the same time I was really grossed out by it all. If you’re squeamish from blood and gore, this is a game you’d definitely want to ignore.
Also, there’s a ton of nudity and sex in this game. Yeah, you’re gonna see ass, dick, boobs, and vagina all around this game. Don’t say I never warned you.
The gameplay is simple enough. You’re wandering around Hell, trying to solve different puzzles to advance to the next stage while also hiding from killer demons that will attack on site. The game does offer an interesting new mechanic. Whenever you die, you are given an opportunity to possess another damned soul nearby to give you another chance. You can also possess weak minded demons to control so you can unleash hell all over... well... Hell. You also do have a weapon in the form of a torch to use against weaker enemies, but take caution that your torch will attract the attention of the most dangerous of demons.
But that’s all the positives I have for this game. Everything else is a mess. That mechanic I mentioned in the last paragraph works only so often. While playing I came across a lot of other souls with bags over their heads, and whenever I died I could only possess them if I took their bags off. I didn’t learn that until I looked it up online. This fucking game doesn’t hold your hand, nor does it do a good job trying to explain how to play this game.
The lighting in this game is awful, like AVPR awful. I had a extremely hard time trying to see where I was going in this game even with the torch. I get the idea that this is Hell and it’s supposed to be dark, but you’d think there would be some good amount of lighting considering this is a realm made of FIRE!
And the glitches. Oh my god, the techincal glitches in this game were painful. Some of the dialogue skips, the characters badly lip their words, and there were areas where it looked so imcomplete that it took me out of the game. One big moment was when I was being attack by this giant demon, he completely misses me and acts like I’m invisible to him.
What I also disliked about this game was how repetitive it was. You’re basically doing the same shit over and over and over until you reach the ending, which should take you about six hours to complete. And you’re going to die a lot, which is another irritation I had with this game. And all these deaths were because I could see what I was being attacked by, or something stupid as falling off a rock ledge five-fucking-feet off the ground.
Agony was just a bad and disappointing game. I don’t recommend playing it because it is too graphic or disturbing, but more so on how terribly made it was. Agony is not worth your money or a damn.
Positives:
-Graphics
-Disturbing setting design
Negatives:
-Too damn dark
-Very gross
-Repetitive
-Poor instructions
-Glitches and issues galore
Final Grade: D+
So those are my thoughts on Agony. Have you played this game? What were your thoughts? Please be kind, leave a like and comment, and check out more of my gaming reviews here on Prose!

Keep me in mind
It was quiet. It was like every form of life was gone. Standing there on my own, surrounded by those flames, all I could feel was emptiness. Not the heat, not the smoke, not the pain or the struggle to breath, the struggle for my life, I just didn't care anymore. The burning house giving up its last effort to try to survive, but in vain ; the wood fell apart under my loud and heavy footsteps ; it couldn't hold me anymore. That's when I entered this infinite and dark void, dragged by the gravity ; falling again and again, until those flames caught me to purify every ounce of my broken soul. To take my memory, my regrets, my faults, my cowardness, my shame, my blood with them. Because they are the only that can keep me in mind.
Harry Situation Reviews: Solo: A Star Wars Story
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
STAR WARS
A SOLO STORY (BECAUSE I COULDN’T COME UP WITH A BETTER TITLE)
SIX MONTHS AFTER THE EPIC EIGHTH
ENTRY IN THE STAR WARS SAGA,
AND SOME FANS ARE STILL BITCHING
ABOUT IT.
MEANWHILE, THERE IS A NEW STAR WARS
FILM FOR FANS TO BITCH ABOUT...
Solo: A Star Wars Story is a new Star Wars spinoff film that tells the origins of one of the franchise’s greatest characters, Han Solo (this time played by Alden Ehrenreich). Basically, it tells how Han first met Chewbacca, how he met Lando Calrissian (played by Donald Glover), and how he required the Millennium Falcon.
I can admit that I wasn’t all that looking forward to this movie. I’m sure you’ve heard all the behind the scenes production problems. It was originally directed and written by the guys behind the Lego Movie, but they were fired. Then Ron Howard was brought in to direct. I like Ron Howard. I think he’s a good director who directed some good movies, like Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind. But he also directed some stinkers like the Da Vinci Code movies, and he’s never tackled science fiction before. So, I wasn’t sure how this film was going to go down.
I know despite The Last Jedi having some notable flaws, I still greatly enjoyed the movie. And to those who disagree, you are entitled to your opinion, but since I reviewed the movie my opinion far outranks yours. So haha, losers! ;)
I know that there are some fans out there that take issue with the Sequel Trilogy. I, however, seem to be taking issue with the spinoff films because I didn’t like this movie.
But before we dive into the bad, we gotta talk about the good. Let’s start with the one thing you want to know first and it’s the actor playing Han Solo. I thought Alden Ehrenreich did fine as Han Solo. He does everything like Harrison Ford would do as a younger version of Han, and he has his moments. But what sells it really is his relationship with Chewbacca. We know that these two are going to be best friends/coworkers for life, and they really played off each other very well to a point it got some good laughs out of me.
And I gotta mention Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian. You cannot find a better casting choice than this. He was perfect.
Of course, this being a Star Wars movie, there was a ton of great looking special effects for both the setting and aliens. Whatever feeling you have for any of these new Star Wars films that have been released in the last 3 years, you gotta appreciate how Disney has found a good balance between practical effects and CGI to a point that it never distracts the audience.
Unfortunately, that’s where my positives end because this movie was mainly boring as watching two Jawas reenact Hamlet. The action did not engage me at all until one sequence into the third act. I think you might know which sequence I’m talking about. It’s the one shown in all the trailers. The part where the Falcon is flying in space and TIE Fighters are shooting at them and there’s a giant space monster. That part! But if that’s the only action sequence I enjoyed out of the whole movie, that’s a big problem.
And here’s another big problem in this movie. I have no fucking clue who was supposed to be the main villain in this movie. Each Star Wars movie has a main antagonist. For the Original Trilogy it’s Darth Vader. For the Sequel Trilogy it’s Kylo Ren. Even in Rogue One the main bad guy (even though I ripped on him before in my Rogue One review) it was Director Krennic. I can’t tell you exactly who the main villain is because we’re not given one. Paul Bettany is in this movie and he plays this gangster that threatens Han and the gang. So I guess he’s the main bad guy, right? He would if he didn’t have 5 minutes of screen time, and it doesn’t help the fact that I pretty much forgot about him up until the end.
If you thought I didn’t care about the characters in Rogue One, I didn’t give 5 parsecs of a fuck about any of these new characters that were introduced in this movie. Woody Harrelson’s character? Didn’t care. Khaleesi’s character? Never cared. That social justice droid (I’m sure it has a name but I don’t care; I’m gonna call the character social justice droid regardless) that was partnered up with Lando? Annoyed the hell out of me!
I don’t know but to me this really felt like a pointless cash grab. You can make that argument about The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi all you want. But the biggest difference in those movies and this one—at least in my opinion—was that not only did I enjoy those movies but they at least felt like Star Wars movies. You can still argue no, but believe it or not George Lucas had something like this planned long before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney. But more importantly, those movies were fun. Did you forget what fun was? Or is fun for you basically a competition to see what goes up your ass the farthest, your thumb or your head? Yeah, I’ll strongly defend those movies with my last breath, what of it?
I cannot defend this one because, to me, this movie forgot to be fun and it didn’t feel like a Star Wars movie. I would honestly give it a D+ but the one sole thing that spares it from that grade and from a hashtag that states “this movie sucks” is one big epic cameo from a long time Star Wars fav character that I did not see coming at all. That cameo left a gigantic smile on my face, and it helped save this movie by a small hair.
But in the end, I had low expectations for this movie and came out unphased by this movie. If you ended up liking it, good for you. I saw this with my mother who isn’t a big Star Wars fan, yet she liked the movie more than I did. For me, not just as a Star Wars fan but as a casual moviegoer, I don’t think I’ll be adding this movie to my Star Wars collection.
Light Side:
-Han and Chewie
-Special effects
-THAT one character cameo
Dark Side:
-Mostly boring
-No real villain
-Didn’t care about new characters
-Colorless
-Cash grab
Final Grade: C-
Those are my thoughts on Solo: A Star Wars Story, the one Star Wars film I didn’t like. But at least it’s not the Star Wars Holiday Special. Have you seen it? What were your thoughts? Any Star Wars characters that deserve their own movie? Please be kind, leave a like and comment, and check back on Prose for more awesome reviews!

“Alone”
Karen walked the lonely streets of her once bustling town, it didn’t matter where, they were all the same now. She listened for familiar sounds that would never return, it was an instinct she had not yet outgrown. Kids playing, lawnmowers cutting grass…was it Sunday? Birds singing in the distance, cars speeding by too fast on small streets, all these she could no longer hear. The one sound that she could never imagine being gone though was her own family. Never to sing, or laugh or cry or argue…or…or? She couldn’t think about it, not any more. She didn’t want to think about it, too much pain associated with memories of the past. When humans decided that easier was better than hard. When fabricated truths outweighed actual facts. When lies and deceit rained over truth and morality. Karen slowly wandered down the street looking for her next meal as she always did when it was light, that was fading though.
She needed to hurry.
In the distance she heard a sound, she flinched, frightened, she recognized the sound. She could hear the crackling of a fire, smell the smoke dancing on the breeze but could not feel its warmth. Where was it? She needed it, now! It was getting colder as the sun set, they would be back then, they always came back then… She needed to hurry!
Around a corner, faster she ran, she could see the glow, gravel crunching and crackling under her feet. Damn! She slipped, a rock slashing her hand as she braced the fall, ripped pants allowing blood to stain her knees. Not what she needed right now, they could smell the blood, they would be coming faster now. She needed to hurry.
As she righted herself and gained solid footing she heard it… in the distance ahead. Faint.
She should be hurrying.
A stick breaking in the woods past the road. She froze, breath caught in her throat, but her heart would not listen, it continued faster…faster…faster. She couldn’t control it. She knew she was going to die now. This is how her life would end. As everyone she had ever known would end, at 15. Not old enough to live a full life but that is what life is now. After the decision was made all those many years ago. World powers decided that no more military, no more guns would benefit all. Forced opinions on the rest of the world. They had hoped no more war on the planet. But, they forgot one important factor. What if we are not alone in the universe…
The King Returns
Once there was an enormous kingdom ruled by a kind but just king. One day the king departed his kingdom assuring his subjects he would be back and that time would usher in a great time peace without war or strife.
“I will return,” he said, “to take you to a better place than this, where the people will never grow hungry and we will all live in peace and harmony. In the meantime, love and be kind to one another and pass these things on to the people you meet… Treat them as I have always treated you.”
For many millennia many of the subjects forgot the king’s parting words and war, famine and violence and other atrocities ravaged the kingdom. There were only a few the loyal subjects who remembered the King’s promise and commands, quietly and dutifully they carried out his orders; though they spoke to others when needed.
One day, when a new generation was growing up in the kingdom they heard the distant blare of trumpets; the fanfare of a ruler returning to their native land.
There coming towards them, was the king looking the same as the day he left, his regal white horse and steadfast as ever. The loyal subjects came running to meet him while others stayed behind still still arguing amongst themselves. So the king came down he vanquished the enemies that had overrun areas of land particularly his beloved palace which was in disarray. He dealt with his enemies swiftly and with justice though many did not think this was fair. They were banished from the kingdom to the furthest reaches of the land.
When the battle had subsided he dismounted and smiled down on his loyal subjects.
“My loyal subjects, well done, I am pleased you. Now I take you to the place I have prepared for you. Together we will live in peace just as I have promised.”
So the king brought them to a new land which was unlike any they had seen. It was brighter and there was not a flaw in it. There was always plenty of food and everyone was was happy. The subjects were given anything they asked and there was no more sickness. A great river from this land, and it was around this river the king fashioned his new city.
This new city was glorious! There were houses and castles as far as the eye could see, each for a member or family within the kingdom. The city was bedazzled with glorious jewels, more spectacular than anything the people had ever seen, The long winding streets paved with shimmering gold. The city was surrounded by 12 jeweled gates each set with large pearls; these gates were guarded by the king's most loyal soldiers which had proudly defended the kingdom for many years.
Everyone was safe there was no more harm, no more tears, and no more crying. It was as if the kingdom itself was immortalized along with those who live there.
So they lived on forever, forever and ever. Happy, and at peace.
Wendigo Woods (With Artwork)
Twin brother and sister, Ralph and Rachel Vasquez, trekked deeper into the heavily wooded forest. It was their family’s annual camping trip, and their parents finally allowed them to hike by themselves. They both wanted to explore the old abandoned mine that was stationed at the heart of the Wendigo Woods.
“Are we there yet?” Rachel groaned.
“It’s gotta be up ahead,” Ralph reassured his sister.
“Let’s hurry it up,” Rachel ordered, staggering a couple of feet behind her twin. “I don’t want to get lost out here, especially near an abandoned mine.”
“You remember the stories about these woods, right?” Ralph teased. “They said that over a hundred years ago miners started disappearing into the night.”
“Ralph, no!” Rachel scowled. “Don’t you dare try to scare me again.”
The kids then separated themselves among the wide oak trees as they ventured deeper and deeper. Ralph continued with his story. “They said that the miners were getting picked off one by one in their tents by a monster. They didn’t have the means to kill it, so they had to lure it deep into the mines and trap it down there. Since then they’ve named these woods Wendigo Woods after the monster that was trapped there. They even said that you can hear it from inside the mine howling for human flesh.”
“RAWR!” Rachel jumped out and grabbed her brother by the sides, forcing him to jump and scream.
“Not fair!” Ralph whined. “I was supposed to scare you!”
Rachel laughed and lightly tapped her twin’s shoulder, inviting a game of tag. Ralph chased after her and the duo ran through the forest. Their laughter and playing brought them to the outskirts of the abandoned mine. The land was dull and barren, many of the old trees stripped away long ago. Chunks of granite littered the ground and rusted metal carts laid broken and immobile. They then walked up to the boarded-up mouth of the mine. The old wooden boards looked greatly weathered and rotted. Marked onto the boards was a series of untranslatable scribes and small animal skulls were hanged above the doorway.
“Ok, we’re here. Now let’s get back to camp!” Rachel pleaded nervously. Cold chills flowed through her body as she looked on into the darkness through the rotted holes in the planks.
“HEY, MONSTER!” Her brother cried out, kicking at the old boards. “ARE YOU IN THERE?”
“Ralph, don’t do that!” Rachel barked, but Ralph kept kicking. Suddenly unstable boulders the size of basketballs rolled down the mountainside and aimed for the siblings. Both Ralph and Rachel jumped away from the rolling rocks just before they landed at the entrance. The boards were reduced to splinter piles underneath the granite stones.
“Alright, now we’re going back,” Ralph said and the two ran back to where their family was stationed.
A brown, furry squirrel hopped around on the stones and bounced toward the damaged mine entrance. Something drew its attention to this spot. Perhaps it heard the commotion and wanted to investigate, or maybe the sound of an impending mate lured it like a siren call. The small critter climbed to the top of the boulder pile and peered into the new large hole that was created after the landslide. Its nose twitched at the smell of something rotten creeping up to the entrance.
Before it could react, a large, gnarled hand with elongated fingers launched from the mine’s abyss and snatched up the helpless squirrel. The hand brought the squirrel into the mouth of a predator that was cloaked in darkness. It violently chomped away at its fur, bones, and guts until nothing remained. It hadn’t had a meaty meal for a long time and the whole rodent quenched its ongoing hunger. Yet the predator felt that it wasn’t enough. It wanted more flesh, more blood, more meals.
The creature then looked at the entrance. It felt something was off. The scribes and ruins that once forced the beast to flee many times before were no longer there. The entrance was also damaged, only piles of rocks were in place instead of wood. The creature crawled from the cold darkness into the warm light. Its leathery hide was dry and dead. It looked like a seven-foot tall, walking human corpse but with a pair of crooked antlers crowned above its brows. The eyes were as lifeless as the rest of it, black as coal and inhuman. Its distorted jaws bared rows of broken, sharp teeth.
The creature felt freedom for the first time since its imprisonment. It let out a deathly howl, signaling the forest and all those that inhabited it that the legend of the Wendigo Woods had finally returned to its hunting ground.

Land of Satyrs (With Artwork)
I would not dare to travel far from home, and never beyond to the forest where the trees consume the sun. It is the home of their people. An unusual, unnatural civilization that takes the form of both man and goat. Our village has told nightmarish stories of how these creatures would be proud warriors, defending their home and nature, raiding the strongest of strongholds and becoming victorious.
I would not dare enter their territory; but if the stories of how they are not just warriors but skilled medicine people, it is their aid I seek to heal the sick in my village. My presence could end in death, but it is worth the risk.
Their enclosure is not far now. As I walk down the pathway of this dark forest, I feel their presence around me, watching the trees. I reach the wooden walls of their home where they wait for me. Their spears at the ready, body and face armored, it is time to see if they will act as friend or foe.
