What is your favorite video game, what makes it your favorite, why should everyone else play it?

This year will mark the 25th Anniversary of the Pokemon franchise. Can you believe that? 25 years. This challenge is going to be all about Pokemon. Talk about whatever you want about it. Anyone played Red Dead Redemption II? Anyone still playing? What was your favorite moment from that game?

Looking specifically for characters whose first appearance are from video games.
