That’s Me, The Blood Queen!
Do you see my knife?
Yes, the metal there~
It’s about to enter your life
Or end it, where is where?
Do you see the blood?
Yep, yes, that’s yours, dear~
Blood is ambition
Blood is power
And I want it all!
I’ll rule over
Everything in here
That which I can see
And that which I will meet
Blood is ambition
Blood is power
And I want it all!
You’re so weak, Felico
You’ll never beat me, Antonio
I’ll kill you, Artris
And your beloved, Tiass!
I’m the almighty
Queen of Blood!
I have vials and vials and vials
Jade and blue and ruby and gold
Blood and power never grow old!
Ema, Ema
The name hallowed in the hills
Ema, Ema
That’s me,
The Blood Queen!

Lightning
On This Day
On this cloudy day
I follow the dreams I never had
And cherish the friends I never wanted
On this sunny day
I throw caution to the wind
Even when I can't feel a single breeze
On this rainy day
I pick out the flowers for my funeral
And drown the petals for my wedding
On this broiling day
I tan my throbbing brain
In the heat of the moment
On this chilly day
I dig a graveyard for myself
When I don't think I'm about to die
On this snowy day
I can't tell which hurts more
The loneliness or the swarm of strangers
Guilty of Murdering Poetry
All your pages are white, with not one black word left.
How incredibly naïve I have been to think that poetry
would always gush, hiking and clouds would inspire
forever, the stream of thoughts that there was never
enough of. That bullet hit the left ventricle and spilled
out blood that is no different from your own except
for your addiction to hate mongering. Who won here?
The academic community that flunked your brilliance,
the student loan system that made you pay back in dreams?
Parents are always a cheap shot. She burned your books for
God's sake! He put you in the psychiatric ward. Fuck yeah!
I did it. If I hadn't loved you. I will write for the two of us.
Bus Driver
Good morning!
Usually, there is no reply.
Those bratty kids who treat me like a servant,
Looking down at me,
Even though I am an adult,
And their lives are in my hands.
Don't misunderstand, please.
Some of them do greet me.
Make me feel that I'm not insignificant,
That I am not a tool to be used and then thrown away.
I try to be nice.
But those kids in the back,
They yell, scream, and make messes.
It's impossible to play good cop forever.
Coffee spills on the floor
Staining it a dark brown.
Two hours to clean.
They don't even say sorry.
I wonder if those kids,
Those kids who disrespect and lie.
I wonder what they'll be in the future.
Gossip Girls
He said
she said
whisper through the grapevine
tongues tied with lies dipped
in half-truths swallowed by the
asinine
fit to dine on the flesh of those
falsely flogged
to wine on the tears of those
bowed and bled by rumors
spun like tumors fed by
cancerous cattiness
arteries filled with the battery
acid of idle gossip
they vomit and then consume
as a delicacy
some kind of ecstasy
drugs swallowed dry
getting high off the pain of
the fall guy and singing Hallelujah
it wasn’t them this time.
keep the memory
did you know
ninety-eight percent
of the atoms
in the human body
are replaced annually
meaning this time next year
i will be reborn
and you will have not
touched my skin
your fingertips will not have
held my waist
your palms will be aliens
when our hands
intertwine
a year from now
our love will be foreign
as if you were never
mine
The Christmas Party: Part One! (Part Two will be entered into the “Erotica” challenge by @MichaelHall)
Nico cringed as a snowball smashed into the back of his head.
He spun around and growled, "I swear to Hades if you hit me again I'll-" He was interrupted by another snowball as it hit him straight on in the face.
"Oh, come on Nico." Jason laughed. "I thought you'd be quicker than that." Percy chuckled beside him, blowing white tufts into the cool Christmas air.
Nico smirked before kicking a wad of snow into the faces of his two friends and dove behind the Dionysus Cabin. He could hear the sounds of the snow crunching under their feet as they ran off in the other direction, then jumped out and threw a crudely made snowball, which hit Jason directly in the small of his back.
Jason let out a modeled scream and fell to the snow-covered ground, groaning.
"My man!" Percy screamed, grabbing him by the arms and dragging him behind the Hermes Cabin. "Man down! Man down!"
Nico rolled his eyes and chuckled before turning to hide behind cover again. He gasped as a snowball smashed into the cabin wall beside of his head. He spun around to see Jason and Percy peeking out from around the Hermes Cabin, one above the other. They reminded Nico of prairie dogs.
He dove back behind the Dionysus Cabin as another assault of snowballs rained down upon him. He knelt down and made a couple more snowballs before returning fire. All of his missed, some hitting the Hermes Cabin's door. As he dove back into cover to make more, he heard the Hermes Cabin door fling open and the campers inside pour out, urged on by the snowballs that had hit their lodge. Soon, the giddy cheers of the Hermes kids were joined by those of the other cabin's as well. The whole camp was at war. Well, except for the majority of the Aphrodite Cabin, who were all peering out of their cabin door with pink and red onesie's on.
Nico jumped as he felt a hand on his shoulder. He glanced up to see Percy and Jason standing there. He hadn't even seen them come up!
"We should probably be heading to Annabeth's now." Jason said. "The Hephaestus campers are beginning to build automatic snowball throwers with heat seeking abilities. I would rather get out of here before they start building actual snowball-missiles."
"That's a good idea." Nico agreed, standing up and brushing the snow off his legs. "It's starting to get cold out here anyway."
"Oh, I can help with that Nico." Percy said, crushing him into a bear hug. "Better?"
"I can't breathe." Nico mumbled through Percy's coat.
Percy laughed. "Yes you can." He picked Nico off the ground, against his will, and began to carry him off toward the Athena Cabin.
Nico wiggled and kicked and tried to break free from Percy's grasp, but the much taller and older boy had too good a grip on him. Soon, Nico gave up and enjoyed the free transportation. Along the way, he could feel various stray snowballs hitting him, but the majority of his body was protected by Percy, so all he felt and heard were light thumps.
His body was hot, whether from the hug or embarrassment, he wasn't sure.
When they reached the Athena cabin, Percy plopped Nico onto the ground. "We've arrived at your preferred destination!"
