The Fire
It was just a simple summer day
While most were away
when he turned on the stove
The fire ate Colegrove
when he pushed and shoved
it destroyed everything he loved
until the next day when most weren't away
and everyone sang
Whistle one day away
and then you convey
while the tragedy will be known the next day
and while the skies turn grey
his family turns away
without love or sorrow
they live tomorrow
like nothing happened that Saturday.

'A young comedian's true passion is not only to make the people laugh but to also make a name for himself'
Helen chuckles and says. "That's the worst jock I've heard all night and trust me your joke's suck!"
The man looks at her with cold eyes and responds with. "This is and inspirational speech to young comedians"
"I'm not the least inspired"
"Nor is anyone else here, I just started 5 minutes ago"
"A true inspirational speaker inspires within 3 minutes." She said imitating his voice.
"Would you like to come up here you failing comedian"
"Actually I will and I make 50 grand a show"
"So lemme guess, you only get 1/2 a show every two years"
"Would it be funny if I said yes?"
"No it would be incredibly pathetic, lose-"
"Well in that case, yes" Helen said. The audience erupted in laughter.
"What, why the heck are you laughing?" As the inspirational speaker said this they all pointed to the back of the room. When he looked back he saw three cardboard signs that had the word LAUGH! on it.
"Oh sheez, this is disgraceful" and he started to cry.
THE END
background-"But this sucked"
YES IT DID
Marriage Day
She started to dream, and if that wasn't bad enough in a nation that despised and killed anyone who had even a single trace of imagination, the dream was about how she would die the following Tuesday. The nation was a horrific terrible place where boys were convinced to be men at such an early age. While women were being taught to marry and populate the nation at age 8 and marry at age 13. The marrying process was very bad, people would say who the person should marry, vote on it, and then they were assigned to each other as "Soul Mates" for the rest of their lives together. Nobody could promise anything, friends couldn't be trusted, and "wives" and "husbands" didn't love each other until they were around 16-17 where the punishment was death to both if one was in an affair with someone else's wife or if they got in a argument the therapist couldn't fix.
Most couples were forced to deal with each other over time because they didn't want to die. Evelyn was the one who was "cursed" with this dream, and today was what everyone called choosing day. It was when all the 13 year old's were assigned to the spouses. It was normal very depressing for the students but they were forced to smile, and the adults of the kids were holding cupping their hands over their mouths or foreheads.
"Lily to John"
"Loris to Tommy"
"Kate to Ricky"
"Sophia to Nicolas"
"Emma to Mason"
"Ava to Lucas"
The announcers continued to rotate who said who and then they said.
"And finally, Evelyn to J-" The microphone cut out and you could only see the announcer's lips moving, but Evelyn heard the best thing in her whole life, she was positive the announcer said Jackson, a brown haired boy with hazel eyes she had a crush on when she was eleven. The announcer slapped the microphone a couple time and continued to say "Jacksmith" Evelyn's face fell as a boy's head popped out and said
"But I'm already assigned to Lilian"
"Opps, I meant to say Jacksmith your to Jackson" The announcer said. Jackson's head popped out and said "But we're both guys"
"Oh no that can't be right" The announcer continued "Evelyn to Jackson and Lilian to Jacksmith, yeah that's right" As she finished two men in black walked out from behind and shot her in the head. Nobody looked surprised since it was something that happened so often, instead smiles grew on the adult's faces as they congratulated their children on their spouse. Evelyn's face beamed as she hugged her parents and in-laws, Jackson walked up and lifted her above him then lowered her and kissed. Evelyn's eyes opened and she willingly kissed back. He offered to take her by the hand to the celebration and she accepted they walked on the sidewalk to the best part of wedding day, The after party, she could see the giant white pavilion set up that was only for the newlyweds. When they were about 2 blocks away from the party tent Jackson made a sharp left turn and kissed her straight on the lips.
"I'm a very lucky guy"
"Why?" she asked.
"Cause I was gonna kiss you if I got you or not."
"But they would of killed y..."
"I know" He interrupted. "I wanted you to be my wife or else I would of died with just a kiss"
Trying To Write
Sweat poured off the early writer he had finished his first book and it had become a big hit. So his publisher did what all publishers do(Asked for another book in 2 months) and he cutting very close to that dead line. He hadn't slept in a couple days just staring at his computer finishing up the last six chapters that ended up having 435 pages between the 6 which meant he wrote half of his book again in only 3 sleepless days. As he was about to write the twist at the end of his book that was begging for a sequel. He printed it out and sent it to his publisher. When he got home he collapsed on his bed with his own nightmare, he has to write a sequel... He groaned in frustration how could he have been so foolish. He checked his emails to see if his publisher had got his book, and to his horror the publisher asked to have another book in one month and asked if he could not turn in his book a month before deadline.
