Three Parts
I was a child,
Reckless and wild.
Free to create,
Love or hate.
I am unknown,
A mystery of my soul.
A part of past,
A mold to be cast.
I will be...
Me?
Cracked, but Strong,
Will to carry on.
A writer with ink,
Who refuses to sink.
A wife with a dream,
A hope that gleams.
I mean, who knows?
I feed my fires,
Hold on to my wishes,
Cherish my desires.
But I don't know
Anymore than anyone else.
I'll fight to that future image,
And I will see for myself.
I was, I am, I will never be.
I was blind,
hair long, eyes closed to horror but open to wonder.
And then he came,
forced my eyes open with his brutal blade.
And my first sight was horror.
I am no longer blind.
I can see the true world that young me never knew.
Horror and wonder are lovers,
I learned, and now I know that
you can't have one without the other.
I will never be the old me,
who could smile at beauty,
because I know now that
for every birth there is a death.
And for every kiss, there's
a goodbye.
I was a sunny faced child with no knowledge of the truth
that lay outside my castle walls.
I was warned, oh I was warned
of the creatures outside.
but I knew not, I knew not
of the danger fueled by pride.
Greedy, I grabbed for the forbidden apple,
and fell out of my castle of Eden.
Outside of the walls,
no one but the monsters could hear my desperate calls.
Surrounding me with evil stares,
I know now that I am going to be eaten alive,
and I will never return
to the Castle of Eden.
Give this Christmas away
Too used to being warm,
Forgot how to be cold.
Too used to being free,
Forgot how to be sold.
Too used to being rich,
Forgot how to be poor.
Too used to being love,
Forgot how to be hate.
Too used to being outspoken,
Forgot how to be quiet.
Too used to being satisfied,
Forgot how to be needy.
Too used to being strong,
Forgot how to be weak.
Too used to being me,
Forgot how to be you.

Improvement: Under the Hood
We’ve made a lot of changes under the hood to improve the performance and reliability of the website. The site will now be much smarter about remembering and saving the pages you’ve recently viewed. In the short term, there may be a few bugs, so please let us know if you run into anything.
Improvement: Cacheing
Everything you view will now be locally cached. For example, after publishing a post, you won’t have to wait for the post to load to view it. If you click a challenge in the challenge feed, it’ll load instantly. You should notice these effects across the site.
Improvement: Messaging
Clicking different messaging conversations and messaging multiple users at once should now be much faster and more responsive. A bug has also been fixed that prevented the messaging window from automatically scrolling as you send and receive messages.
Improvement: Feed Loading
When visiting new pages or new post feeds, the previous feed will no longer linger while the new feed loads. This caused some confusion when loading a new feed failed or took longer than usual.
Bug Fix: Facebook Share
The Facebook Share button now works as intended.
Bug Fix: Read Count
The read count indicator will no longer increment when editing a post.
Are there any other bugs, difficulties, or inconsistencies you’d like to see fixed? Let us know in the comments below.
