My family
Mom would be a blue whale, gentle but protective of her young,
Dad would be a grizzly bear, because of his strength and loyalty to his family,
Tali would be a monkey, a curious young orangutan who we have to keep our eyes on,
And last, you have me, the dolphin of the crew, a social, lively person that likes to be around other beings of some sort.
Le carnaval des animaux
I'd like to personally welcome you to my Carnival of the Animals. Step inside as I guide you throughout the premises; don't feed the animals please, and follow me.
This is my mother, the Flamingo. Look how beautiful and graceful she is, such a brilliant, bright personality. She's very sociable, she could talk for hours! But do yourself a favor, hm? Don't piss her off.
This is my father, the Polar Bear. He's got a nasty bite, an appetite to be reckoned with, and he's very...intimidating. But he's also wise; he chooses his battles, and thus wins wars without even using words. He would do anything for the ones he loves.
This is my older sister, the Meerkat. On the surface, she's shy; she peeks out once in awhile to see if there's danger nearby. But when she burrows into her hiding holes, her personality illuminates even the darkest corners of the underground.
This is my younger sister, the Hyena. You can hear her shrill laughter from miles away. She has a lot more potential than she's willing to expend; rather than go in for a kill, she instead scavenges and mooches (in other words, she likes to take the easy route.) But like my Father, you better watch out if she's hungry.
And me? I'm the Tiger. I like to be on my own most of the time, make my own kills and mark my own territory. I would kill for my family and close friends...I keep my circle very small. I'm extremely competitive, and I'm not afraid to bare my teeth and sink my claws into your eyeballs to let you know that around here, I'm the boss. But once in awhile, I'll share a carcass with you. Maybe. Just don't expect it to be a regular thing, since over-staying your welcome in my 20km-radial bubble may result in you becoming my next meal.
And on that note, my tour ends here. The gift shop is to your left, donations are greatly appreciated. Thanks for stopping into Le carnaval des animaux, and remember; there's a beast inside us all.
There’s as many of us as there is our pets
Mother- Mama Bear
Very protective of her young and she would kill for us. Very resourceful and always on the move.
Father- Panda Bear
You'd think he's harmless from that inviting face but there's more than what meets the eye.
Oldest Sister (Kathryn aka Kat)
- Cat
You are allowed to gawk at her beauty but if you say something she doesn't like or rub her the wrong way she'll come in fighting and you will loose. Also very protective.
Twin Sister (Abigail aka Abbey)
- Great Pyrenees (large dog)
When she sets her mind on something she will do it. She does seem completely lovable, and she mostly is, but don't underestimate her power.
(Only) Brother (Nathaniel aka Nate) - Wild Bore (Pig)
As a pig he eats everything, gets dirty and is content, but if you get him upset or excited he can cause some serious damage.
Third youngest (Alaina) -Horse
Majestic and beautiful. Can be hyper and playful but also stubborn and obnoxious, but that's only because we're not getting our way.
Second Youngest (Jordan aka Jo)
- Rabbit
You'd think she's super sweet and calm and lovable, and she can be, but she requires a lot of maintenance and understanding. She can put up a real fight and tries to use her size and cuteness as an advantage.
Youngest (Maia) - Fish
She can go from going so fast you hardly see her to just calm and mellow. Very fragile and delicate but hardly notices.
and then there's me
Third oldest, youngest twin (Gabriella aka Belle) - Wolf
I can be a loner or travel in a pack, both is fine with me. I can be naïve at times but I also can see what others can't about other people. I can have a serious bite if you try to hurt my pack in any way, even though I'm far from being the leader. I'm more than what some say I am.
Now this only siblings and parents. I'm not sure you want to to go through everyone...
“There’s an animal in everyone of us”
I would be a wolf, with my already human eyes which change to yellow so effortlessly. My attention so sharp- howling to the moon. My dad would be an eagle, souring over the states. My mom would be a flamingo, with her delicate long legs and baby pink skin. My brother would be a hedge hog, intelligently defensed. My sister would be a chicken, none but gossip magazines in her head.
Faminals!
You know when you walk through a zoo, and all the animals that are trapped there for your amusement are neatly separated into enclosures? Well, that's what the street was like where I grew up.
We were in the Yowwa enclosure and my neighbours had their own little spreads too, right on up the street, just like a zoo.
In my enclosure there was a huge sign as you entered:
'CAUTION, you may notice an odd atmosphere within, do not take sides or show preference for one exhibit over another'
It was an odd place.
My Mom was most definitely a Silverback, she was The Boss Hogg of the family unit, constantly patrolling our perimeter and maintaining order. There was just one rule - rather like the sacred rule in Fight Club - You Do Not Ever Make Eye Contact With Mom. That was dangerous, as her moods constantly hovered between 'I'll Kill You' and 'I'll Beat You, Then I'll Kill You'.
Dad was always in the background (when he was there). He was my favourite parent, but like me he always had one eye on what he was doing, and the other on the nearest escape route should Mom decide he needed discipline. I guess my Dad was a Lamb, he was playful and amiable, but he was out of work and hence a target.
That leaves me. I was in the middle, I was often to be found either outside our enclosure listening to the War that was going on inside, or inside the enclosure being a punchbag. I guess I was a Clown Fish, sort of like Nemo.
Slowly come out, look around, and slowly go back.
That was us. Sort of Addams Family minus the values!
