Under no circumstances should anyone ‘follow’ me.
I'll lead you nowhere, but to certain doom.
However, if you'd like to visit the gloom...
I'd be the best friend to sit in your room.
I try to write fairy-tales, humor, and quirk,
But mostly I write about mire and murk.
Sometimes I'm funny,
but mostly I'm glum,
and my conclusions are mindbogglingly dumb.
But if you like trauma and gore and tears,
then perhaps you should read of my hopes and fears--
sometimes a glimmer of light does shine through,
when I tell about all the ways that I grew.
At times I might write something salty and sweet,
Sometimes erotic, just for a treat.
But truly, most truly, don't follow me,
Because often I write because I'd like to flee.
I'm whiny, impulsive, and terribly kind,
a more contrary crafter you'll never find.
And lastly don't follow because,
I break all the rules of the challenge above.
Hidden Thoughts
To follow me means you will travel through a mind that write on any subject. A mind that triggers off of challenges. A writer that sniffs out the fear in a subject that causes the most extraordinary thinker to stop thinking. Writer's block I think we call it. Well, I call it too many ways to tell the story block.
To follow me means you would travel down each and every scenario that comes to mind. Then you would make them all make sense to the subject, then you would place it like a puzzle piece in the right hole that is shaped the same way. Then you would follow me to read again. Wait... And again. And one more time for perfection. When you and I both know there is no such thing. So at this point it is not perfection we seek, but just plain ole satisfaction.
Idk, I guess I’m like good at dialogue or something?
Read title.
Heed title.
I try not to toot my own horn because I am prone to delusions of grandeur followed by periods of bitter realization once I receive a freshly powdered backhand from humility.
I think I do okay.
I think about a lot of stuff. I write about a lot of stuff. People have funny minds and they're entertaining to explore. There are things that happen that intersect with things we wish would happen and there's some neat little ditties in them there crossroads.
I'm always willing to read the work of others and provide feedback as the situation calls for. I like constructive criticism on the things I write as I am pursuing publication and as I mentioned earlier, the occasional reality check is a good thing for me.
I like dark things, inappropriate things, intense things, flowery things, romantic things.
I'm moody.
It works.
Maybe?
Have a Whit
I’ll tell you exactly why you shouldn’t follow me.
I don’t actually know where I'm going
I wouldn't have a notion of how to communicate
to anyone other than my arrogance
that I am so lost, I make the Pole star doubt it knows where it is.
Besides I’m a useless navigator
I have a broken satellite connection
un-repaired for more than short span of memory.
And, if you are following me, I might think you are some authority in pursuit of non-payment of something. so please have a whit and steer well clear of anywhere I might be going.
Follow or Not to Follow
The choice is yours, not mine. I do poetry, short stories and in the past, have participated in two group novels. Peruse my page and judge for yourself if I am worth your time.
One thing I will put here; after eight years on Prose, I have read incredible work from other writers. Personally, that is the best way to decide who to follow, or not.
A Painter’s Reflection
I can teach thee how painting and writing are EXACTLY the same.
The page is a canvas, blank and beckoning. Grasp thy pen as a brush and boldly dive into the dark reaches of thy mind. Lose thyself. Each word is a different hue, carrying slightly different meaning. Each word looks different on the page, changing the tone of the writing. Sound each word in thy mouth, feel the flavor it brings. Staccato spikes for attention, smooth transitions ease the mind. Splash thy canvas with color and wonder, a piece brimming with depth and meaning.
Then open thy eyes and behold the masterpiece before thee.
You shouldn't follow me because my presence is very unpredictable. I am only now showing up here after a three year absence. Having said that, I enjoy connecting with people on here and having chats in the comment sections. I have always found this site a welcoming space to express oneself, be that creative writing or political opinion. So, go on and follow me and see what happens!
Why you should follow me!
Hi, My pen name is Ashryn Sagepark! I am so excited to be here! I am currently working on 3 different books. The first one is a poetry book, filled with all of my poems. The second is a fiction novel, about a cult. And the third is a realistic fiction about a possible senario, when I was in a very traumatic time in my life. I can't wait to publish these books, but I will still take my time and make the books worth reading! I am always up for writing collaboration so just DM me if you have an idea! I hope to talk to all the brilliant minds here!
Why You Definitely Should Not Follow Me (Wink Wink)
I cannot even begin to describe the many reasons why you should not follow me. But I will do so anyway. You see, I am full of ideas, and I'm always coming up with new ways to convey them! Do you really want to follow someone who has ideas? Didn't think so. Secondly, I'm constantly learning! I know what you're thinking. Learning? What is this, school? What kind of total loser wants to learn? Exactly. This is why you definitely shouldn't (wink wink) follow me! You'd totally hate it.
