Some Book Recommendations
Poetry:
The poetry here isn’t too hard to read and are highly rated (by academics and the public) as well as being my favourite collections of poetry.
Selected Poetry and Prose of Percy Shelley – If you like passionate poetry
Complete Poems of Walt Whitman – Good free verse poetry
The Poetry of Pablo Neruda – if you like complex poetry and some love poems at the start of the book.
William Shakespeare’s Sonnets – Some of the greatest poetry written in my opinion
Fernando Pessoa & Co.: Selected Poems – Just a good poet who has different poetic styles.
Prose:
Basic Writings of Nietzsche(philosophy) – A enjoyable philosopher to read in comparison with other philosophers who write very dense and boring texts.
Neuromancer by William Gibson(Cyberpunk Science fiction) – the first cyberpunk text and a science fiction classic.
The Road by Cormac McCarthy(post apocalyptic) – One of the saddest and most beautiful stories I have ever read
Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy(western) – a darker story of the wild west, the best wild west story you will read (in my opinion) and the most historically accurate version of the wild west.
Dune by Frank Herbert(science fiction) – Considered one of the best science books of all time.
A beautiful storm
An intrepid storm crashed ashore, faning the lighthouse’s fervant flame. As tepid waves recede away only imprints remain. Grains of time radiate warmth as the lighthouse flame flickers dim. Torpid waves sound on distant shores as the storm disapates, leaving harbor disheaveled and the lighthouse flame fades away.
naturally beautiful
what's admirable is how there's summer, autumn, spring and winter.
what's arresting is how there's the sun and the moon which brights our night.
what's alluring is how the air smells of earth after every pouring rain.
what's adoring is how nature relies on one another to live.
what's amazing is how earth continues to move even when we don't feel it.
what's astonishing is how colourful and dull the world can be.
But that's nature in its naked and glorious self.
I say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
i see the naked world, destroyed, but still magically naturally beautiful.
Resplendent
The fresh air carried by breeze
Tangy, tingling taste of waves
Bursting in a multihued stream
Washing bliss over me.
The deepest depths of hidden sea
The salty, sanguine home of irukandji
Deeper and farther and any color to be
Bursting awe over me.
Dappled light filtering through trees
Flavour of heart and home to heed
Blazons of gold and shimmers of green
Showering wonder over me.
Watch the wolf-child, the little hungry wolf-child
Teeth that shine and eyes that gleam
See the wolf-child, the proud and caring wolf-child
A heart that beats for the world to be free.
Where are the untainted lands of old
Where wolf would run, where wolf would see
A day with good hunts and haven-home
Is this a possibility?
Golden Hour
Gold dips evening’s essence
In her honey colored light
Amber effervescence
Draws long shadows ’fore the night
Sun rests on a bed of waves
Tide‘s sonnets sing to sleep
Her pulse slows and perfusion fades
Death nears as colors weep
Star’s lost luminescence;
Sky’s curtain’s drawn to veil:
Her rising, Dawn of Radiance —
Eternally, she dwells

Cloud watching
There’s something
Mystifying
Calming
And breathtaking all at once
About cloud watching.
The white magic
That is the cluster of clouds
Seems to swirl in a motion
That’s almost
Unnoticeable.
The sky is revolving
But unlike a revolving door
It flows
Slowly
And gracefully.
The sky takes it time
And shows us faces
Pictures
Of animals
And things.
And while I watch these clouds
Drift
I know that I can never set foot
Into the world I see
Above me.
The sky
Might just be
An ocean
I can never
Dip my feet into.
But then I wonder
And then I dream
About all the possibilities
That lie ahead of me
And think.
One day
I’ll be lying on the ground
Staring at the beautiful
Alive
Sky
And I’ll know that I’ve succeeded
That I have achieved my greatest
Dream.
And so I take a look at the sky right now
It’s darker now than it was before
But the sight is just
As magnificent
With those powerful colors
The strokes of
Orange
Red
Purple
Blue.
I’ll wait
Until tomorrow morning
When I see the sky is blue again
Light
And magic.
