My Friend.
1.) All the other children would laugh and have fun in the park together, enjoying the sunshine, and music, and ice cream, and hot dogs, and playing with frisbees and kites.
2.) Not me.
3.) I sat under a tree with my best friend that no one else could see even though he was bigger and stronger than any adult, and had a big smile and was nicer than any one else ever was.
4.) He made me happy.
5.) He was covered with dense and warm fur that was blue and orange and purple and red and every other color all of the colors all of them at the same time everywhere and he was so warm and snuggly and I could hug him whenever things got bad with mommy and daddy because he was my warm, furry friend.
6.) Things were bad a lot.
7.) One of the girls, one of the girls who goes to the park, a girl who enjoys being in the sunlight and music and eats ice cream and hot dogs came up to me and said, "go home, nobody likes you!", as she threw the used wrapper of her ice cream sandwich at me and laughed at me.
8.) It dripped ice cream down my cheek.
9.) My friend stood up, which is very far up for him because he is so tall, taller than any adult could ever be and he walked right up to the girl and bent down and let out a loud roar right in her face, it blew her ribbon out of her hair, and her hot dog out of her hand, and the music stopped playing and the other children stopped playing and everyone was silent.
10.) Nobody can see my friend, but they can hear him.
Divine Spectators
Mechanical golems swarmed the courtyard, the creak of rusted hinges heralded their arrival. Behemoth steps crushed the undead, adding the shatter of bone to the macabre chorus of zombie moans. Steel fists speared through bricks and mortar, reducing whole sections of the castle to rubble. Revivified corpses attacked wave after wave, but fell pitifully against tempered iron. When the sun dipped beyond the horizon, the final zombie had already fallen. The victorious, mechanical beasts scorched the fallen with projectile fire, ridding the land of their virulent plague. The gods watched on, regarding the scene with a mild interest. "As I predicted." A youthful deity spoke, her countenance as radiant as her voice. "The machines have won, this world is now rightfully theirs."
Be careful what you wish for
Dear Nanny Ready
Thank you for your help with the spell casting, I'm sorry to say It didn't quite work out as we planned.
I know I asked for a holiday in a warmer place, but this was not what I envisaged.
True I'm no longer cold and this was an important consideration, but it's costing me just as much to cool the house down here as it did in heating previously.
I no longer have a problem with mice getting into my pantry, the snake in the garage sorts that out. I do however have a lizard in my lingerie drawer, but I'm inclined to leave him there as he eats the sugar ants that climb out of the electric sockets to raid the cake tins.
As for my complaints about the wagging tongues of the gossips at home, well I may not understand the dialect here, I don't need to, I can assure you they are just as bad.
I will be returning home in September, I will not be asking for your assistants this time and will be flying home on TWA 638 on the 14th.
I hope all are keeping well at home, that Garotaid and Clamidia are behaving themselves and not causing any problems.
I will speak to you then.
Yours sincerely
Aminitia Lightfoot, Witch ( licence pending)
FOR CHESTER
I've done all I can do
I fought with everything I had
But now I'm tired
So tired
& I can't keep fighting anymore
Ever since I was a child
I've had this weight upon my back
Demons clawing at my skin
Non stop
A bag no kid should carry
I'm bled dry
& darkness calls
Surely there must be
Something better than this
Surely...
Please don't hate me
When I'm gone
I didn't leave to make you sad
Didn't want to make you hurt
Or cry
I gave you my all
I tore open my soul
You saw the secret parts of me
My hell
My pain & inner turmoil
Some of you judged me
Some of you hated me
Some abused me
& fucking raped me
Violently
I tried so hard
To rise above
To remain unaffected
Untainted
By the bitter aggression
But I never belonged
Never found my place
I lost my voice
My face
I became so Numb
So it's come to this
My December, my end
Please don't hate me
For What I've Done
Just let me rest in peace
In The End
Just let me be me
In the Shadow of the Day
Let me find
Somewhere I Belong

happy ending
"you deserve to be happy."
I hadn't heard those words in a while,
but as soon as I did,
a rush of emotions
and memories
and flashbacks
interrupted my thoughts.
you're right.
I do deserve to be happy.
I deserve a happy ending.
after everything I've been through:
family drama,
friend drama,
battling my own identity,
I deserve happiness.
it's funny how overjoyed I become
after the smallest thing goes my way.
yet the tables may turn,
and I may find myself in a hole
unable to get out
over one bad thought toys with my mind.
maybe my mind is a bit bipolar,
or undecided.
disheveled even.
but find me on a good day,
and I'll hand you the world.
The First and Last
Johan pushed himself up from the blood-spattered ground. He saw his friend flailing helplessly, trying to escape the terrible grip of the giant wood-scorpion. The pincers squeezed tighter, blood spurted from Gurnd's mouth as his ribs began to buckle. It was now or never. Johan, fueled by adrenaline, disregarded his own injuries and leapt to his feet. The beast's massive tail raised high into the air, it's venom-laden stinger pulsed in rhythm with Johan's heartbeat; fast and frantic. He was nearly within striking-distance when the scorpion plunged it's hideous barb down at Gurnd. Johan's sword flashed, crunching through exoskeleton and thick slime, severing the tail. He was too late; the stinger had hit it's mark and Gurnd was already dead before the beast disappeared into the forest. Never again would Johan laugh with his friend, never again would he walk that road, never again would he long for adventure.
