My least favorite things (parody of A few of my favorite things)
The thorns on the roses
the scratching of kittens
rusted out kettles and thin worn out mittens
busted up packages UPS brings
These are a few of my least favorite things
broken old horses and sour apple strudels
the ringing of doorbells
And overdone noodles
old alley cats that screech when they sing
These are a few of my least favorite things
Girls who complain with thier perfect complextions
people abusing the handicap section
the flooding that comes with the rains during spring
These are a few of my least favorite things
When the sun shines
and there's blue skies
and life's not so bad
I simply remember my least favorite things
And then I don't feel so glad
Neat-Freak
Am I the only one who walks up to strangers and adjusts the length of their hoodie's hood strings so they're perfectly even? Or who goes to the store and sorts and neatly stacks the cans, boxes, and bags of products?
At least tell me I'm not the only one who goes over to other people's houses and isntantly adjust the crooked paintings? Or line up the shoes on the porch by size, color, and style?
Oh, come on, haven't we all done it at least once?
Okay, okay! So maybe I'm just weird, but has anyone opened a bag of Skittles or M&Ms, and sorted them by color before eating them?
You know what...I'm just going to stop before I look completely stupid.

“My Least Favorite Things”
Raindrops on projects,
And whiskers on women,
Bright glaring flashes and warm sticky pudding,
Brown spots disrupting the blanket of snow,
These are a few of my least favorite things.
Cream-colored chocolate and crisp fruit chips,
Doorbells with ditchers,
And schnitzel in general,
Wild animals that try to steal food,
These are a few of my least favorite things.
Girls always texting and fixing their makeup,
Snowflakes that fall down my shirt and my stockings,
Silver-white metal that kills everyone,
These are a few of my least favorite things.
When the sun shines,
When school's out,
When things are going great,
I simply remember my least favorite things,
And then I don't feel so good.

Everything I absolutely hate
1. Having a hangover (which is something I'm going through right now)
2. Having a hangover from a relationship (ditto)
3. Margarine and soya chunks (all fake food should be banned)
4. Feeling that I disappointed someone
5. Feeling like I am not doing things right
6. Misunderstandings between people (just communicate, please.)
7. Unnecessary lies
8. Feeling lost (in life; feeling lost in some place is one of my most favourite things)
9. Finding dogs when hiking on a mountain (at least wolves and bears keep away from people)
10. Loneliness
11. Unfulfilled promises
12. Violence against people who can’t defend themselves
13. People who don’t respect privacy (like my landlords who used to sneak into my apartment, organise my shoes and pretend they were never there)
14. Going to the dentist (or every other doctor for that matter)
15. Spoiled individuals
16. Getting sick
Strawberry Smile
You tap on the window of the passenger seat,
fingers spelling out the rat-a-tat-tat
You snap your fingers too hard
a forced, uneven sound
You whistle a tune
that no one has heard before
over and over and over again.
That same night,
your fingers trace loving patterns on my face
and your embrace smells like lemons.
You smooth my hair back and tell me
that you love me
over and over and over again
and I can taste your strawberry smile when you kiss me.
It's the rat-a-tat-tat,
the snapping,
the whistling
I need to remember that I said goodbye to,
not the patterns
and the lemons
and the strawberry smiles.
