Batch of Hearts
Love
can be described as kindness
As believing in the good of everyone
Instead of forcing your own way
I can collect all the faith in the world for myself.
However
If I refuse to give any love
In packages wrapped with friendship
It’s all for nothing
Let’s deliver a new batch
Of freshly baked hearts
Because the previous year
Left too many broken
Stream of Consciousness writing
Have you ever purchased a notebook (or two) and just found yourself staring at a blank page? Coming up with something to journal about can be tricky, especially if your mind is occupied with your busy schedule. So that’s why I’m here to tell you about stream of consciousness writing.
What exactly is that? Well, it’s simply where you spill out all your thoughts. Whatever first pops in your head about how your day went. Or, maybe it’s questions you want answered or how you feel about a person or situation. Unlike most kinds of writing, this kind doesn’t require any editing. No second guessing if you made the correct word choice, or used too many or too few adjectives.
Does anyone else have to read it?
Not if you don’t want. In fact, most stream of consciousness writing is in the form of a diary. So if you have an online blog of your own, consider your privacy and the feelings of others. Remember, online privacy is not always guaranteed. Nothing on the internet is entirely private and anyone can access it. Even if you disagree with your parents or your cousin on a specific point of view, you don’t want a controversy war. So you’re probably better off jotting down your words in a diary. Disagreement is not hate. Unfortunately, it’s not the same the other way around.
But I can’t think of anything to write at the moment
That’s just fine! Sometimes all it takes is getting up and doing another activity. Drink some water. Go for a walk in nature, light your favorite scented candle and meditate. You can even get inspiration from your favorite quotes and song lyrics!
When’s the best time to write?
Most people write first thing in the morning. But if evening or night works better, go for it! You want to do this activity when everything is still brand new in your mind. So whatever time that would be. Try this writing for a change instead of your usual Netflix binge. Not only will you get more variety, but better sleep.
Conclusion:
This kind of writing has numerous benefits. It helps you start or end your day on a more positive note. It helps you get decluttered. The best part of all is, it’s free therapy! It can show you how much you’ve grown. Or, it shows areas where you need to flourish more. Don’t force yourself to pen a masterpiece, just love and be kind to yourself in the present moment. Pour out your unique and beautiful soul, and be guided by it!

I want you to hear my voice, I want you to answer this question
I want you to hear my voice
I want you to answer this question
Don’t brush this off like it’s nothing
What are you doing
To make this world a better place?
To give the ignored and under looked
Saving Grace?
Will children be raised to think critically,
See the equality that’s bigger than themselves?
Demand that women
People of all cultures and the disabled
Are not only seen but heard
For when you look out your window
This is what you ask of the little bird

In My Journey
In my journey
I am one step closer
To loving myself
Healing myself
Accepting myself
Mental health
Is sometimes hard to define
Some days I’m not myself
Anxious
Confused
Aggravated
I’m pasting all my broken pieces together
To make beautiful pottery
All of my dark
Joins with my light
Letting me know I’ll be alright
No, I’m not giving up this fight
That’s what the journey means
For me, for you, for all of us
Compassion
Five minute poetry prompt
When I am compassionate,
I am whole
Unconditional love is the honey
Poured over biter plants
This love isn’t always
Guaranteed without pain
But if you promise
To stay with me in my imperfections,
A better future we’ll gain
Rise from the roaring fire
Like a Phoenix
Challenge what you thought you knew
Empathy grows like lavender and buttercups
Brothers and sisters under the moon and stars
Exterior of the moon,
White as cream
Fur of the Arctic wolf
Both mystic and astronomical
Stars become committed students
And then, they instruct us
Each one gives a lesson of love, manifestations to every person
More than sufficient for every man, woman,
Child and teen
Everyone connected as brothers and sisters
Not just by birth,
Not just by blood
But from empathy
We care for each other
Crescent moon illuminating
Feathery foliage of exotic palm trees
Surface of the blue raspberry painted sea
All of us were born to be magic
Each constellation sketched like diamonds
On a chalkboard stratosphere
Quack Pack episode review, Ducklaration of Independence
Huey may be my favorite in the Disney XD Ducktales, but in Quack Pack I lean towards Dewey. Quack Pack I feel is an underrated 90’s Disney show. It doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as Ducktales, but I love the interesting plot twist of Huey, Dewey and Louie as teenagers. I can relate to Dewey so much in this episode. There are plenty of times where I want to be left alone too. I think we’re both introverts. Plus in this episode he’s seen to be both a writer and a photographer, two hobbies I enjoy. So basically the plot of the episode is the ducks are on a camping trip in the mountains. Annoyed that Huey and Louie are constantly around him, and using his stuff like his comics and music stereo, Dewey decides to strike out on his own.
Dewey enjoys his newfound independence until he actually ends up in a sticky predicament where he needs help from his brothers. He falls into a place called Nirvana Valley, and the guy living there doesn’t seem to like Dewey all that much, or want him around. Dewey didn’t realize how he may have hurt his brothers feelings until the same thing happened to him.
Meanwhile, Donald and Daisy have their own humorous disagreements while setting up their tent and hiking, which adds a lot of comedy to this more serious episode.
I loved most of this episode. I guess the only complaint I have is I would have liked to see a scene where Dewey, Huey and Louie discuss healthy boundaries. As in, it’s ok to be alone but you should remember the importance of community. Overall, I would rate the episode 8/10.

What hope looks like
Hope is a field of sunflowers,
Pulling back velvet curtains of darkness
Our lights are now luminously shining
After we have clawed our way out of the darkness
Hope is a smile to a family, friend or stranger
Donating our service, filling up the plate
Hope is the equality and Democracy we bring to the world
Hope is reaching all the way down,
Deep into the earth for nature’s advantage
The sparrows and bluebirds will sing once again
Hope is holding hands with community
Standing together in the rain
I am safe in the light
I am safe in the light
Once a world of gray
Now splitting open in neon colors
A lantern on a cold winter’s night
I tend to overthink a lot,
My beautiful but flawed weakness
My demons whisper “You’re a failure, you messed up again”
I whisper back No! I am powerful and persistent in this light,
This light bringing me back to mindfulness,
The light bringing me back to family
This light bringing me back to safety
But even when I have to face it all on my own,
I will rise up over and over
Because you’ve seen me do it before,
and I’ll repeat the cycle
The Lemon Tree
We came to the lemon tree
Our bitter seeds did fall
Arriving at an unexpected twist
We never knew at all
Whence our banquet table is no longer full
Closed off from society, alas this new rule!
But do we respect nature enough,
Are we willing to
Leave it alone for a while?
Yea, humanity took greedily more and more
Every time one walked out the door
Wishing to heal,
But a wish in vain
Unless we meet with Mother Earth
Ask her forgiveness, make a deal
Drink up the whole truth
We were never needed
And that’s very real
